Bank House is a separate building from the main Scotland's Spa Hotel.
All facilities like bar and restaurant are in the main hotel but guest staying in the Bank House are very welcome to use the facilities as the please.
The Bank House is Dog Friendly and there is no charge for Dogs staying in the Bank House. While the guests are very welcome to use the main hotel, the main hotel is not Dog Friendly.
Breakfast was fantastic, as were the staff.
We weren’t in the main hotel but a building across the road, room was freezing and radiator even on full didn’t heat it up, parking at the hotel was pretty poor but there was a festival on that weekend and it was busier than usual we were told.
Breakfast was good.
No parking to unload at annex lots of trips to car. The Spa was dissappointing no Sauna and Steam room didnt work first day.
Good location
Big room
Breakfast good
Pool good with kids
Dirty and run down pool facilities/changing
They didn't tell us steam room was out of order
Room very light so difficult to sleep
The room was clean and provided a coffee pod machine.
Our rooms were separate to the hotel. Instructions to find our accommodation was confusing due to language difficulties.
The staff could not have been more helpful. Also the breakfast was first class as was the breakfast staff, friendly and very pleasant.
Nothing all in all it was a pleasant experience.
Loved that we were close to but actually part of the hotel. Staff were very friendly
Brilliant location, the staff were very friendly and helpful and the price to add breakfast was reasonable, very much enjoyed the breakfast as well. The bed was comfortable.
The property (Bank House) is also dog friendly although I myself don't have a dog so can't speak to how friendly it is in practice.
I liked the stay but when I booked (not sure if this is exclusively a booking.com problem) I realised the photos I was shown were not for the building I was staying in (I stayed in the Bank House and the rooms in the pictures seem to be from Scotland's Spa Hotel, while they're both the same facilities they're two different buildings and my room wasn't quite as nice as those in the photos). The room was nice enough but it wasn't what I thought I'd be staying in so I was a little disappointed. It needs to be made clearer which is the Spa Hotel and which is the Bank House because while I didn't mind the room I was disappointed it wasn't what I'd been expecting.
The room I stayed in had hardly any plug sockets which I think is important to keep in mind. There were only two regular plug sockets in the room (there was a third but this was broken) and these were in the corner farthest from the bed so charging phones was annoying.
The TV only had some basic channels as well. It had an option to sign into Amazon Prime but I wouldn't have been comfortable doing this at a hotel in case I forgot to sign out.
The heating in the room is not great. There's one electric heater on the wall that didn't seem to heat the whole room and had a light that glows a very bright blue so made it difficult to sleep.
The shower was a bit difficult to use and was quite slippery but got very warm.
The room wasn't the cleanest. There was some dirt and also a hair pin that I know didn't belong to myself or my partner as we're both men who wouldn't use that, it wasn't unhygienic or impossible to stay in but also not the cleanest place I've stayed.
Location, dog friendly, comfortable matress. Not too expensive
Cold, mouldy, dirty. Breakfast too crowded and luke warm. Swimming pool is not in Bank House but down tbe road at Scotland Spa. Poor customer care
Pleasant staff at check in and at breakfast.
Good size room with a separate wardrobe area.
Great location, just off main high street.
We arrived early and the rooms were ready so we could check in which was a nice bonus.
Bathroom needs a refresh. Black mould around bath. (Ground floor room-think it was 405 but can't be sure)
Some stains on the carpet in main bedroom area, overall, just needs a bit of a deep clean.
Cooked food selection at breakfast could do with being hotter. Everything was lukewarm.
Very comfortable accommodation
The staff were friendly and professional but could do with some help in the reception bar
Room and bath room was dated and mould round the bath shower seal for the premium we paid
Excellent location. The staff were really friendly and helpful. We loved the pool. The room was spotless and well equipped. The birthday card and balloons were a really lovely touch.
The bathroom could do with a wee update. The toilet took a long time to fill and the shower lacked a bit of power.
Loved the use of the spa facilities.
Nothing
The breakfast
Room being up the street No evening meals jacuzzi not working no entertainment bar of hotel right at front door right at so called reception the plastic tumblers in our bathroom were dirty with toothpaste still on them yuck no glasses in room to take a drink from all in all it was a very big disappointment of a weekend and it was for my retirement gift from my family😡😡😡😡😡😡😡
