I had a truly wonderful stay at Shalom on the Bay in Gordon’s Bay, Cape Town. From the moment I arrived, the hosts — the husband and wife — were absolutely amazing. They were warm, welcoming, incredibly polite, and genuinely caring throughout my stay.

Their kindness made the whole experience feel personal and special. It’s rare to meet hosts who are not only professional but also so down-to-earth and thoughtful. I truly felt at home and would gladly stay there again. Highly recommended!

Cons:

What I loved most about Shalom on the Bay in Gordon’s Bay was the privacy and comfort. We had our own separate room, which made the stay feel peaceful and personal. The security was tight, so we felt completely safe throughout our visit.

The amenities were also excellent — there was reliable WiFi, hot water at all times, and thoughtful extras like milk, a microwave, and a kettle. Everything we needed was provided, which made the stay convenient and stress-free.

Shalom on the bay is a scam I want my money back
Pros:

We liked nothing, the pictures displayed on the booking app are not the same, he displayed a living area inside the the house but there is nothing, only bedrooms full of dust, no light and the locks he gave us can unlock every bedroom there,there are no couches as displayed

Cons:

He made his booking police to be non refundable because he knows people will cancel on him when they see the dirty place, it is located far in a scary place.it is self service check in the locks outside are broken, even our uber driver was scared to leave us there, we had to book another place, we didn’t sleep at all, there were no lights
