I když jsem měla skoro měsíc zaplacenou rezervaci, majitel mi po příchodu řekl, že nemá místo. Ze údajně došlo k chybě v rezervačním systému. Dle ostatních recenzi zde nebo na google je toto u něj normální praktika a tato “ chyba” v rezervacích se mu očividně stává často. Majitel mluví jen Španělsky. Když jsem mu nabízela svůj překladač, ať mi napíše, kde je přesně chyba a několikrát jsem mu opakovala, že mu nerozumím, neboť španělsky nemluvim, překladač použít nechtěl. Vse mam zaznamenáno na sve GoPro kameře, ktere si majitel očividně nevsiml a nevěděl, že si naše jednání celou dobu nahrávám. Vrchol byl, když mi napsal do zprávy, ze jsem žádnou rezervaci nemela a žádné peníze jsem mu neplatila. Placeno zde přes booking. Mám schované i screeny jeho zpráv. Již jsem toto ubytování nahlásila. Vyhnete se tomuto místu obloukem, doporučuji využít třeba hotel HK, kde me na rychlo ubytovali a přijmuli me s otevřenou náručí a vřelosti., což se o tomto místě říci nedá.

A beautiful host and Casa. We would stay again
Pros:

The host was exceptional. We were made very welcome. It felt like a home not a hotel.
The room was comfortable, the shower great, the views lovely.
When we left early before breakfast our host made us a picnic of sandwich, cake, fruit, yoghurt and water. We give this Casa 10/10

Everything about this place is special. Right on the Camino, hidden in plain sight. It was our last stop before Santiago. The room was cozy and clean, breakfast great, the nature around us enveloping and charming, even tho at first the setting is a bit confusing because it's very near the highway, but do not let this fool you! And most important of all, the owner: he drove to reach us while we were already on the road to give us back the water bottle we forgot at his place. A true gentleman and a true gem. Thanks again and Buen Camino!

Unfortunately, our stay left us with a very negative impression, although it started well.

We stayed here for one night while walking the Camino. The host who welcomed us was very friendly, and check-in was quick and easy. The house itself is old and full of character, with beautiful stone walls and interesting interior details. Our room was also attractive, with traditional shutters and a jacuzzi.

Cons:

Unfortunately, several issues during our stay completely changed this positive first impression.

1. Location and facilities

The property is in a pleasant residential area, but also near a main road, with a petrol station directly in front of it. The house is set back from the road, so this was not a major issue for us.

There is no washing machine or guest kitchen, which may be useful for other Camino travellers to know. The host kindly allowed us to use the small kitchen where he prepares breakfast to reheat some food, but it was noticeably less clean than the guest areas.

2. Room cleanliness

After checking in, my husband noticed visible clumps of dust on the floor, which was surprising in a room that had presumably just been prepared for new guests.

! Still, none of the above would have caused us to leave a negative review.

3. Breakfast and food hygiene

This was where the stay went from disappointing to absolutely unacceptable.

We started breakfast normally and had already eaten some of the food before we began noticing one problem after another.

The cutlery had dried food residue stuck to it. Then I looked properly at the mine glass of juice — it was visibly dirty and covered in greasy fingerprints, as though it had not been properly washed.

Then came the food itself.

Our child had tried the sausage and said it tasted bad. My husband tried it after her and immediately noticed that it was stale and already developing an unpleasant smell. The jamón was extremely dry and looked as though it had been sitting exposed for a long time.

And then the cheese.

My husband and I had ALREADY EATEN some of it. He took another slice — and underneath it was a piece of cheese COVERED IN MOULD.

Not a tiny suspicious spot. Not a mould-ripened variety. A piece of clearly SPOILED CHEESE, extensively covered in mould, sitting directly underneath the cheese we had just been eating.

Een klein paradijsje
Pros:

Hartelijke ontvangst. Tot onze grote vreugde stelden we vast dat onze valiezen na een lange camino dag al naar onze kamer op de eerste verdieping waren gebracht. Jose Manuel verwende ons werkelijk tot in de puntjes. Heerlijk avondeten onder de olijfboom en een al even heerlijk ontbijt de dag daarna.
