Cozy home operated by the owner. It has A/C and the room is very spacious

We received such a warm welcome at this hotel that it had become one of our most memorable and favorite stays on the Camino. The hotel is a historic house that was lovingly restored. The room was comfortable with a nice view. We enjoyed sitting in the garden and enjoying a glass of wine and getting to know those there. Spanish hospitality at its best!
An additional blanket for the bed.
Super charmant!
In jeder Hinsicht
It’s an old historical building.
Everything about this stay was wrong. Stay away.
1) Bedbugs in Room 4!! I woke up in the middle of the night with multiple bites and found live bedbugs on the bed. My friend and I packed our things at 2am and left immediately to avoid further infestation of our belongings. We spent half the next day inspecting and sanitizing everything in our backpacks. When we raised this with the owner, they refused to provide a complaint form and claimed the bedbugs entered the room through an open window — which is simply not true and not how these pests spread."
2) Forgotten requests and no staff on site. I booked a double room, but a friend joined me mid-trip, so I asked the host whether they could add a second bed or switch us to a twin room. They said "yes, don't worry." We arrived at 7pm to an empty building — no staff, no response to calls, and our request had simply been forgotten: the room had one bed. The hotel was full, so no room switch was possible. We had to wait for the host to show up and then wait again for an extra bed to be delivered.
3) No water, no alternatives. We arrived thirsty and desperate for a shower to find all water shut off without warning. A simple courtesy bottle in the room or a water station in the common area — standard practice at most accommodations in Spain — would have been enough. Instead, the host offered neither an alternative nor an apology.
4) No kitchen space. There is also no kitchen and no proper space to prep or wash up (a tiny toilet sink doesn't count). We borrowed a couple of glasses and plates that turned out to be dirty and covered in fingerprints.
5) No English-speaking staff. There was no way to meaningfully communicate a problem to anyone on site if you speak no Spanish.

Juan was very welcoming and accommodating.
Location was far from amenities. Beds were not comfortable and the shower was poor
Very Iow water pressure.
