Area relatively quiet. Good transport connection
on arrival the hotel looked like a construction site, no car park or outside area.
we weren't informed that the building was under construction and remodelling.
we stayed in the family loft room
.floor tiles cracked
.hob not working and rusty
.kitchen wall cupboard on floor
Wednesday 10th September evening 2 cockroaches ran across the floor, had to call front desk they arrived and sprayed them and removed one, Thursday morning the other one was in the cupboard that had our cereal and some food in, which had to get thrown away.
The wardrobe had no space for clothes neither did it have coat hangers .
The kitchen area not equipped with anything, we had to buy a kettle which we gave to the hotel on our departure. The list I have is endless, in a word we were completely blindsided by not one but both our bookings through you and will be hard pressed to recommend you let a lone use you again.
Both my bookings with Hotel.com have failed to meet my expectation of a service well done and has been disappointment after disappointment. photos to follow in a separate email.
Location
Staff was very nice and helpful
Hotel was clean. Amenities was great Property still under Construction wish they had a restaurant, but they said they were working on that.
Staff was very helpful and accommodating, beautiful place to stay very quiet.
Hotel was under construction. They're were no pool as advertised or complimentary chauffeur services. Theyre were no windows in the room so I felt confined. They're were nowhere else to stay as all the surrounding hotels were booked due to the CPL cricket game in Guyana.
The location and service was good
The hotel is a newly developing hotel. Still in progress with some construction but the staff and cleanliness of the building is amazing. The room is spacious and air conditioned. The neighborhood is quiet and is walkable distance to amazing fast food restaurants. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to my friends. One of the best location in Guyana.
Hotel is very clean, and the staff and are super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.
I was there for 2 nights and I felt completely safe. The rooms are clean and it’s quiet.
My reservation turned out to be a bait and switch. I never experienced such mayhem. Do not trust the pictures; the hotel is undergoing major construction. Security on his phone in the daytime for the most part. Elevator shafts are exposed, rooms need repairs, ceilings are dangerously low, and the kitchen is non-functional. The manager promised compensation but directed me to call Expedia. The hotel never answered their phone. Customers, please beware.
Staffing was great, we started off to some hiccups but they werr quickly resolved by the hotel manager Twari with the help of front desk associate Josiah. I met Robin as well which was definitely a great help and Chanel. There was another woman i cant remember her name. She was abit heavy set, she privided good information that i needed. Thanks to the staff at Bel Air hotel, ill more than likely consider coming back for another stay.
The way to communicate with staff can improve by telephone being installed in every room of the hotel
An area should be set aside for guests to sit and have breakfast. Positive- the interior of the hotel/ rooms were clean
This is a new property but currently incomplete. Lift not yet installed, rooftop restaurant and pool not completed, outside grounds still a worksite. On that basis it is hard to be too negative. That said, at minimum the cable tv should be installed and operational - being limited to You Tube is just not appropriate. My room itself was adequate, the shower was fine and the bed comfortable enough. Bed side lamps would be useful and some hanging space for clothes. The breakfast selection consisted of cold sandwiches, fried eggs etc which had to be heated in the microwave. This is inadequate and needs improvement. The staff were friendly and helpful. Supermarket is around the corner a few minutes walk, as well as a few fast food options.
I just did not like that the elevator was not in operation. Great and very helpful front Desk staff.
Poor
The front dest staff especially Robin.
Property itself was great for rest and quietness but view of building opposite was unfortunate. No fault of hotel though.
The owner and staff was very courteous and helpful. The hotel was comfortable, clean and the water pressure was excellent. Thank you Bel air Hotel will visit again soon.
The experience should be improved when the ongoing construction is completed.
