Decent, affordable hotel
Pros:

The hotel was situated in a convenient location. It's in an alleyway, which makes it relatively quieter. We booked double rooms and a family room. The family room was spacious and clean. The double rooms suit two people but it is harder to open two large luggages at once.

The receptionist, Mike, was incredibly accommodating and friendly. He was very helpful when we needed help with locating restaurants, pharmacies and banks. He set the bar high for a good receptionist with excellent customer service in Hanoi.

Cons:

There were some moulds and cobwebs on the ceiling. We experienced some leaking in the bathroom and slow water pressure. The kettles were also unsafe and would be unpotable as they were a bit rusty.

Breakfast is at a different location, which isn't too far but still inconvenient. There were some good food options but staff at the breakfast location were not as friendly and seemed to constantly be in a rush to send us out.

Loved it! Would stay here again next time.
Pros:

Loved the room, really spacious. And well-designed. Loved the location too, walkable to most places in the Old Quarter. There were pretty lanterns right outside our building. Breakfast was really good too, although had to walk to a different building. But that's just 2-3 mins from our building. Highly recommend this hotel.

Cons:

Locating the hotel the first time was difficult as it is located in an alley. If there was a board at the starting of the alley, it would be easier to find. And a little noisy in the night, right outside the building due to people chatting on the streets. But this is across the Old Quarter I guess. Not a dealbreaker.

Nice and handy place to stay
Pros:

We had a nice time at La Passion hotel. Room had everything we needed. Mike, Thompson and Jimmy were very helpful with us. All of them gave us great tips to explore the old quarter. Hotel is cozy and is located in a alley close by shops, coffees, restaurants, street food...I recommend this place.

L'emplacement parfait, au coeur du vieux Hanoi

Cons:

Chambre pas très propre, mal entretenue. Hotel vétuste qui a vraiment besoin de rénovation. Allez ailleurs !

Fantastic location, up a little alley, next to a pretty good restaurant and very centrally located. The location is near perfect.

Cons:

Nothing to complain about, the bed was pretty good, it had a nice bath, the front desk people great.

Pros:

The breakfast was phenomenal—even though it was served across from the hotel, it was absolutely worth it because the food was so good. I would definitely come back and book this place again.

I also really loved the location, as it’s right in the heart of the Old Quarter, making it super convenient and easy to get around and explore everything nearby.

Cons:

The only small downside was that the air conditioning wasn’t very cold, which made it a little difficult for us to sleep comfortably at night, but overall it was still okay and didn’t take away too much from the experience.
