Hotel Apartment with 2-en suite Bedrooms

Unfortunately, we had high expectations for this apartment, given the numerous positive reviews, but sadly, that wasn't the case. As soon as we arrived, the lady who checked us in asked us not to open the windows because there was a possibility of stray cats getting in. There was a tilt-and-turn window in the bathroom, and due to the obvious smell, we had to leave it open until the smell cleared up. A stray cat got in, took our food with it, and went to the bathroom on our bed (as you can see in the photos). Seeing what happened, I immediately contacted the owner, who was completely unwilling to accommodate us, claiming it was our fault for daring to open the windows when we'd been told not to. Furthermore, when we requested immediate cleaning and a change of sheets and towels, she asked us to pay for the service in cash. Not only that, but, as you can also read in her responses to the few negative comments, she called us "little girls who want to travel for free." In light of what happened, it seems absurd to me that in an apartment, you can't open the windows, ventilate the rooms, and remove bad odors, for fear of stray cats getting in. given the situation we took our bags and left. Be very careful and don't be fooled by the photos and positive reviews.
P.S. This is the striking fact, but we must not underestimate the fact that when we arrived the sheets were slightly stained and the towels were old and stained with bleach, in addition to the sink with a poorly functioning drain which therefore gave off a bad smell.

The only complaint is that in one of the bathrooms, water leaked from the shower every time we used it, soaking the bathroom floor. Hopefully, once it is fixed, everything will be perfect.

There was a cockroach infestation in the apartment. These could be found all through the kitchen, even in the dishwasher and cutlery draws as well as in the entrance stairway, in the bedrooms and many dead ones in the bedroom light cover. The owner started by being helpful but unfortunately turned very unpleasant about the situation.

not a major problem but having the windows from gym directly opposite felt very exposed, sharing people on their workouts. also someone in the very nearby area on one of the days was smoking a lot of cannabis which made its way into the apartment when the window was open.

In the mornings there was insufficient hot water for the four of us to have a hot shower. This was reported to the host.

The only small complaint would be if there was a folder with some information about wi fi numbers and useful contact numbers .

This is not something that should deter groups or families, but parking is a mess. It’s in the city center, so you’ll be circling around a bit if you rent a car.

It's definitely easier to check-in without having to meet a person i.e. having a lockbox to collect keys from with a code instead. My dad struggled getting up the stairs as he is quite immobile and they were quite dark and steep, but perhaps it already said no step-free access on the property description (didn't check). Neither of these points though I would say should reflect negatively on the host or apartment, they were both great! :D
