Very clean, loved the staff and breakfast!

The easy access to the 403 main road is helpful for general travel to most places. It’s outside of the busy city, so there aren’t loads of cars up and down the surrounding roads (although, see the dislikes for other vehicle noise).
The free hotel parking was plentiful, even on busy weekends & the spaces were suitable for bigger family cars.
The staff were generally nice, helpful & friendly - but Mandy on Reception & Chef Raki were both particularly outstanding. They always went out of their way to do kind things for our family & made us feel very welcome, lovely people.
The air/floors in our room felt damp all the time (although other family members didn’t have the same issue in their rooms). Nothing dried, like clothes or towels, they just felt wet all the time.
The bathroom waste pipes are centrally connected & when higher floors flush their toilets the noise travels down the pipes and is amplified along the way, making a sudden rushing noise that is extremely loud (especially during the night).
The maids kept leaving 4 towels when we were a booked as a family of 5, despite asking them several times throughout the stay.
The hotel is situated very close to a freight train line & haulage warehouses, so there were quite a lot of very loud nighttime train & truck horns.
The family suites could do with a wall or screen between adults & children to make it easier to get the children to sleep without early lights out for the adults too!
There was no restaurant or bar at the hotel which made arriving in the evening and not able to enjoy any food or a drink somewhat disappointing
The pool facilities could be improved.

staff is very friendly, rooms are spacious & clean,beds comfortable, breakfast is very good.
Have stayed here numerous times in past and this time we found the pool to be cold and the shower in the room was not a consistant tempature, it would be hot then cold & back & forth...the shower at the pool was much hotter.

The rooms were nice and spacious.
Our shower didn’t work. The handle just turned and turned! We didn’t report it at 11:00 pm because we didn’t want to have to move to a new room that late at night. We were offered no compensation.
We didn't partake in the breakfast, but did get two coffees to go. After a few minutes enroute and trying the coffee we both agreed it was not satisfactory and discarded the coffees without drinking them. Overall, the staff were excellent and the room was for the most part good. We were happy to check in to the room early after a full day driving.
Apon arriving, struck by a strong men's cologn smell. Realized this was a scent used by the hotel throughout the lobby. Guessing it was to disguise a chlorine smell coming from the pool. When we checked into the room and tried to relax before attending an event, we found a buzzing noise disturbed our rest. After minutes investigating we found the cause was the mini-fridge. Once unplugged, the noise was gone. As we had to leave, we reported the issue by responding to the hotel check in text message. Returning later in the evening, the offer to have staff respond to our room issue was no longer an option. We were offered a free beverage the following day upon check out for the inconvenience of loss of its use.
