Location is great. Breakfast is good value.
Rooms are clean.
My bathroom radiator did not work. No one on reception. Feel it needs an upgrade, the carpets need replacing. Feels very dated.
The staff are very friendly, and especially Ryan in the dinning room. He is lovely. The chef, Riswan, is also very very good.
The rooms are good, but depending on which one you are in, the shower power can be weak. Pillows are also not ideal, but then this is quite subjective.
the wine was nice and the staff were friendly
Noisy. The deliveries from the brewery came at 6.30 am and the recycled bottles and cans were collected earlier than that. I was in a room close to the reception and who ever was on duty kept letting the door slam. I am not a light sleeper but this was really annoying. We arrived on Sunday evening and the Sunday roast was was stale and luke warm like it had been on a hot plate for hours. I wouldn't recommend eating here.
Another lovely stay at this great pub. The staff are super-friendly and helpful and everything is clean and comfortable. The food is great, and there is lots of choice at breakfast.
NA
Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Location great, rooms clean and cosy.
Had lunch and breakfast at the hotel and the food was really tasty, fresh and well presented.
We stayed in the old part of the building and the staircase was steep and narrow so anyone with limited mobility may struggle. However, this was part of the character and I think there is another staircase up to the first floor which is less narrow and winding. So no real problem.
We have stayed many times find this location good for visiting the NEC.
Short walk to The Cross. Great bar, excellent breakfast apart from the coffee and tea
Hot water in flasks at breakfast just not hot enough. We asked for refill but it never arrived
Clean, comfortable room in a quiet location with parking
Breakfast was lush
Didn’t get a good night skeep
The staff couldnt do enough for you. The liaction was great.
The noise sounded like wind through the windows. Struggled to sleep. Would of been good to have a bottle of water in the room.
It was very cozy, comfortable & great location.
Loved everything
Beautiful property in a lovely area. Easy to find and park. Staff were very helpful, even when we didn’t make check in till nearly 9pm, they kept the kitchen open to make sure we were able to have a hot meal after a long journey.
My old negative about the stay was how hot the room was (Twin room)
Bed was comfortable, Staff friendly and prompt and any problem was solved instantly ( just missing a few tea bags)
All good
Didn’t have breakfast, but evening meal was excellent. Location was very convenient.
En-suite was a bit cramped, but fine for an overnight stay. Car park also a bit cramped but adequate.
Decor and welcoming feel to the building. Menu and quality of food was excellent
Nothing
Location
Breakfast: besides the continental displayed, you could order a la carte. It was a great idea because the food was perfect.
Location: near the Abbey Field Park and downtown, but not too close so you hear noise. Also close to some castles.
Transportation: Once I figured out the bus routes, everything worked well. Good service. The hotel also got me taxis when I needed them.
Breakfast: on Saturday and Sunday they start breakfast later than during weekdays, so I missed it on both days because I had to leave early.
