Comfortable and affordable accommodation.
Pros:

The room was incredibly clean and the bar staff were very polite and helpful.

Cons:

It was undergoing paintwork, which was very much needed. The communal areas were very tired.

The bed was comfortable, however, the room was extremely basic and old furniture, disappointed.

Lovely, clean hotel with friendly staff
Pros:

Lovely style building, rooms are clean, pub is good and the staff is very friendly and helpful!

Cons:

The shower(head) could have done with more water pressure and a wider head. It’s definitely water saving, but a bit too much in my opinion. The inability to turn the water pressure up more meant taking a shower actually took longer.

Good enough for visiting nearby friends
Pros:

Food was good, bed was comfortable, location convenient for us, our breakfast was easily switched to “to go” (because it took so long to come, we were going to miss our train), windows once fully closed kept out most of the noise from the live music

Cons:

1. breakfast was confusing (directed to buffet, much later brought menus), and food service was pretty slow; 2. light and fan in bathroom are controlled only by a motion sensor so they stay on for a long time even when you want dark and quiet to sleep; 3. check-in staff told us the wrong times for breakfast
