The floor cooling was very welcome during the massive heat wave. The location is also good and relatively quiet, although the view on the entrance of a parking garage is very limited and poor. We were not bothered by this too much because we didn't spend much time in the apartment.
This is an apartment from a larger company called luxury rentals Madrid. Don't be fooled by the "luxury", however, it is a baseless adjective.
Soon before our arrival we got a message from the host asking us to inform him of our exact arrival time. We kept him informed about our landing, sent a message when we were in the taxi and yet he made us wait in the blistering heat with a 1,5 year old after a pretty exhausting trip. Instead of being there on time, he casually sent us a message saying I'll be there in 10. This was really unacceptable, and he didn't even apologise. Also, we didn't like the fact that we had to pay €50 extra for the cot (quite unreasonable) and another €300 deposit upon arrival. We had to wait a week after leaving before getting this back, also annoying.
Additionally, the fact that the lights switch on automatically in the bathrooms is really inconvenient and quite unnecessary. If someone wants to use it at night, the other person will always notice and wake up. Also, all the lights are really white and strong. There are no warm lights for reading, for example. Moreover, there was an unpleasant smell from bad water in the bathroom with the two separate beds. We had to keep the door closed at all times to avoid having the smell spread to the bedroom.
Last but not least: it was very annoying to have to fill out so much information before arriving (passport numbers, city and date it was issued, etc. etc.). This was unexpected and took a lot of unnecessary time. We expressed all these inconveniences but got a long but meaningless message back (undoubtedly ChatGPT) without any helpful solutions or compensation of any kind, just generic statements about how they will improve this in the future, which was utterly irrelevant to our specific situation. Not recommended all in all.
It is a nice and clean apartment with good furniture. Everything you need is there. The location is great, it is a quiet spot, but close to metro stations (5 mins) and supermarkets. We were there since it is also close to Estadio de Vallehermoso, where the European Championships Athletics were held.
There was not much to dislike. But one advice: the beds are a bit short for tall people (1.90m and more).
Comfortable apartment. Big rooms, great beds. Very nice location. The neighbourhood is pretty quiet, jet has a lot of restaurants and shops around the corner. There are 2 metro stations and nice parks just around the corner.
We stayed with a 4 month old baby, and they arranged a cot for us.
The floor of one bathroom was not easy to keep dry after showering.
The apartment we had has enough windows, but it was pretty dark during the day. (Which also makes it cool during hot summer days.)
Drilling works on the Friday morning was loud and woke me up
