We liked it, and staff excellent.
Pros:

Great breakfast. Great room and shower. Good location, middle of town, only downside, room by main road which is sometimes a bit noisy. Not unexpected as it is mentioned on site.

Was allemaal erg goed, nieuw denk ik. Heel comfortabel.

Cons:

Smorgens om 7 uur werden de bierfusten gelost direct naast de Crown. Was wel wat vroeg wakker worden. Verder alles prima.

Pros:

The staff here are all very friendly and helpful and make you feel welcome. The room was spacious and comfortable. Food in the pub restaurant was very good.

Cons:

It was a bit overpriced for one night's stay. Also the bathroom window would not open. The bedroom window opened from the bottom only ( sash window), but as the room was right next to a busy road/pavement, it was not possible for security reasons to leave it open all night. Hence it was quite hot. The traffic on road was very noisy most of the night too. So did not sleep well.

Terrific local pub/ hotel with great staff, good food and welcoming style.
Pros:

What a gem of a place. This lively and well patronised pub/hotel was just the place for a stay in this picturesque town. Though part of a chain, it was very individual and chracterful. The room was excellent with high quality fittings and furniture- great bathroom and very comfy bed and very clean. We had dinner there and the food , though pub fare, was well presented and tasty. But for us the staff made the stay really enjoyable. What a team- efficient and friendly and always with a sense of 'can do'. A really nice stay and couldn't recommend enough

Cons:

Our room was on the 'road' side of the building so it was a little bit noisy ( as it was a hot day/evening- so we had the window open) but it would not put us off from staying here again.

Perfect for riverside location and querky town

Pros:

Friendly staff, very well appointed room and bathroom, excellent mattress so we had a good nights sleep. Catering for funeral reception was exemplary

An excellent stay
Cons:

We’ve stayed at The Crown a couple of times now, and it continues to impress. Set in a fantastic location, it combines the charm of a traditional pub with beautifully presented, comfortable rooms that make it a real pleasure to stay.

What truly sets The Crown apart, though, is the service. The team are consistently warm, professional, and clearly very well trained. On our most recent visit, Libby, the duty manager, was an exceptional host. Nothing was too much trouble, and she went above and beyond to make sure our stay was seamless and enjoyable from start to finish.

It’s that level of care and attention that keeps us coming back.
