This is a lovely and quiet facility however located a little far from town.
Pros:

The property was gated with easy access by fob. Our suite was size able and overlooked a little brook. The grounds are lovely for walking. The staff was primarily one young woman coordinating our stay and several cooking and cleaning people.

Cons:

The distance from La Fortuna was significant as the property is located outside the pick up areas for most tours, hence we had to drive into town and back at night. Roads are narrow and curvy so this was not pleasant. The facility serves breakfast but one needed to go out for dinner; kitchen had cookware but no cooking supplies as oil, etc. We did not enjoy our meal at their sister restaurant.

Spacious, calm, would come again
Pros:

Huge rooms, tasty breakfast, really calm surroundings, beautiful walk in a small “park” behind the property, comfy swimming pool, thermals for free in their other property,

Cons:

The rooms lack a bit of personal touch, the parking spots are sometines dangeroua for smaller vehicles, the reception does not work all the day

Luxury stay in a large apartment. Great value if you want a bit of quiet.
Pros:

Very large and modern apartment that was fully equipped and had access to hot springs and restaurants at close by sister hotel.

Cons:

Lacks a bit of warmth. Breakfast a bit minimalist.

Private resort, huge rooms, little windows or views, great staff.
Pros:

Villa Serena is located 10 minutes from Arenal with a private gate surrounding the property. Our villa was beyond spacious and more appropriate for families than for a couple. The property is immaculately clean, however the villa layout felt cavernous given its size and lack of windows in the kitchen/dining area. The bedrooms are likewise huge and well appointed but didn't take advantage of the jungle views with only two small windows and no balcony off the master. The grounds behind the villas are beautiful, with a paved walkway next to a creek lush with foliage and wildlife.

Chachagua is Serena's sister resort and short mile up the road. We loved the access we had to visit the hot spring pools and spent every afternoon enjoying cocktails from the beautiful bar while we lounged in the pools. The staff at both resorts were friendly, helpful and quick to respond to any requests.

Cons:

This may be a difference in aesthetics, but we felt the property didn't capture natural light or views due to the lack of windows or balcony from the master.

Value for money and a very comfortable stay
Pros:

A very large and clean room with any amenity you can think of..... including a washingmachine and a dryer. Very large and comfortable rooms, but not very personal. Staff was outstanding

Cons:

We only stayed for one night, but I think we would miss a view to the beutiful nature surrounding the place, if we had stayed longer - maybe other rooms have a view?

A very nice hotel with a very good staff.
Pros:

Beautiful setting and great staff. Large rooms. Very good breakfast. Enrique took a lot of time making calls for us the first night.

Cons:

There wasn’t a safe or a hair blower in the room. There was no outlet in the bathroom for a shaver or hair blower. Room was not cleaned the second day. Beds were made but no fresh towels.

Comfortable stay in clean and comfortable resort
Pros:

Very clean and big (bath) room with two giant beds. The fact that you can use the facilities of the resort next door including the hot springs is great and good value for money.

Cons:

The resort lacks any style or personality, but is clean and comfortable. During one night there was a heavy rainstorm and we had a leak in the roof which was dripping down in our bathroom and kept us out of our sleep.
