Pros:

We enjoyed our stay in Castlemaine at Lilydale Lodge and appreciated having two bedrooms for our group. The room with the double bed seemed more comfortable and the other room had two single beds. Although it was very cold during our weekend, the split-system heaters in each room kept us warm. The hosts were very friendly and respected our privacy while being available if we needed anything. The little dog was cute too. The house was lovely and it was in a beautiful street. The location was great too. If it wasn't freezing cold on our weekend, we could have easily walked into town. Thank you for having us ☺️

COMFORTABLE HOMESTAY WITH FRIENDLY HOSTS & USE OF THEIR KITCHEN
Pros:

The homely cottage atmosphere in a quiet location on edge of town. Ability to communicate with the owners, get advice & share experiences.

Cons:

The small share bathroom needed a little table for your stuff & a stool to sit. The aircon that stalled on the very cold night.

Wholesome, warm, safe, clean, friendly, nourishing, stylish and arty!
Pros:

The place was beyond what I was expecting. The location was perfect, a short and easy, direct stroll to the heart of Castlemaine, while nestled on the edge of the bush and a short walk to the Goldfields walking tracks. So quiet and exceptional service and style. Irma has lovely style and the place has been so tastefully set up that it was a pleasure to stay - I am only sorry that my visit was so short. It is somewhere I would absolutely recommend to friends and family. 10/10 in every sense. Irma and Oliver was such lovely, kind genuine people, who truly went above and beyond for me during my stay.

Great place for a weekend in Castlemaine!
Pros:

Amazing homely house with very friendly homeowners. There is also a herd of Kangaroo that gather in an open space nearby which is fun. Short walk to town. Beautiful view.

A great visit to a beautiful historic town staying with friendly, hospitable hosts.
Pros:

it is a lovely, quiet location and a beautiful house. The owners are friendly including Pinot the dog and I really enjoyed my stay.
