Galaxy Pods @ Chinatown

​I usually only use this type of accommodation to sleep, but it was quite difficult to get proper rest this time. Although the capsule itself is very spacious, the mattress was so thin (or worn out) that I could feel the hard frame underneath. Additionally, while I understand this is a very budget-friendly stay, the cleanliness and overall maintenance of the facilities could definitely be improved.

Unfortunately the actual hotel does not look anything like the advertised pictures. The hotel was not colourful or sparkly as advertised, it was incredibly dull, all blue and white. It was very dirty and old, it definitely needs updating, deep cleaning and decorating. Staff were very nice however. The toilets and showers were not clean or well presented, they were very grubby and dirty, there were hairs everywhere. Did not sleep well, the mattress was incredibly thin. It looked so great online when we booked but it was incredibly disappointing. Sadly i wouldn't come here again.

Stamattina preparandoci alla partenza abbiamo notato che nella capsula viene cambiato SOLO il lenzuolo sotto (non le federe dei cuscini e non il copri trapuntino), quindi è facile che si dorma con lenzuola usate da altri. La struttura si trova sopra un locale dove fanno karaoke fino a tarda notte (e si sente); all'interno della capsula c'è un rumore forte e costante per tutto il tempo dell' impianto di aerazione; il locale delle capsule è freddo come un frigorifero e piuttosto piccolo, all'interno delle stesse si sta meglio, comunque il trapuntino per dormire è necessario. La capsula doppia è una piazza e mezza, i bagni sono in comune e fungono anche da doccia e sono sufficientemente puliti. La TV nella capsula non funziona, non si possono caricare dispositivi all' interno della capsula, tutto va fatto fuori, dove dormono tutti. Per due notti, ci si accontenta, il prezzo è medio alto, in linea con i costi nel Paese

the bathroom was pretty bad. it wasn't a separate room for toilet and shower, it was water everywhere; not very clean
the sheets were not the newest or the cleanest
the room temperature was crazy, the ac was turned on all the time, it was very cold. in the capsule the air ventilation couldn't be turned off
it smelled weird

Washroom and bathroom are same and have no space to take a bath or a shit. If anyone took a bath before you, entire bathroom including the pot will be wet.

The beds were not entirely clean.

The bathrooms include the toilet and shower. This means that the toilets get very wet with the water from the shower. This could be cleaned by the staff more often. Getting into the top pod is not accessible for all people, and there is no way to request a bottom pod.

Op de foto's lijkt er nog redelijk veel ruimte in de zaal, alleen zijn er blijkbaar verschillende zalen en onze zaal had echt nauwelijks ruimte. Ook moest het licht hele nacht per se aan wat wij ook niet echt begrepen.

Bed is very firm, people made a lot of noise though the night and woke me up a few times

mattress is way too hard, pot is too short and i am only 1.70, it’s super noisy to open the plastic pods, door didn’t open on first attempts from the inside - needed like 20 times to push the button -, shower not clean, overall seems a bit sketchy

The bed was extremely uncomfortable it hurt to lay on it was actually unbearable the mattress was an inch thick. The toilet and shower was in the same room and unisex which is very unpleasant when you want to use the toilet and the whole room is soaked and also showering doesn’t feel clean as it’s next to the toilet. I left the shower feeling more dirty than before. The bathroom/ toilet rooms smelt weird and not taken care of. Didn’t look like some of the photos not much space outside of the pods. No windows in the property- wasnt expecting them in the pods but in the social area I was for which there is not a social area- no seats or space to chill outside the pods. I checked out a day early because I couldn’t bare the final night.
