The reception clerk can use a smile :(. They overbooked, so the room I booked, two-queen bed, was not available. Normally the hotel would upgrade us for free, but no, they upgrade us with an extra cost of the room.
The hotel is next to a restaurant/cafe, where hotel guests get their breakfast if they booked the package. We didn't so we just paid as we went along. Coffee is good, and food is okay.
We had a King Suite with Balcony, which was huge with the bed room conecting with a separate room with a big fridge, sofa set and a kitchenette without silverware nor stove. The balcony is misleading, since we thought it was our private balcony in the back of our room; but no, it's a common balcony in front, like a walkway toward your room.
It's easy to get a Grab taxi. There are 143 Khmer temples in Tra Vinh. We got taxi to go to four of them, some are National Heritage, like Wat Pisey, Wat Âng. Go see them if you have time. They are beautiful!!!
If you ran out of the room that people book, then upgrade it for Free! Don't charge people extra for your mistake!
My stay at Rose Hotel Trà Vinh was a mixed experience. The location is good, and the room size and facilities were generally fine. The front of the hotel looks beautiful and is great for taking photos.
However, there were some issues during our stay. The air conditioner was not working properly, which made the room uncomfortable. Also, when we arrived, we had a lot of luggage to carry to the elevator. It would have been nice if the staff had offered to help, as they could clearly see we were struggling.
Overall, the hotel has good potential because of its location and appearance, but better maintenance and more attentive customer service would make the stay much better.

Room was clean, and home-maker staff were good. Hotel is still new.
Receptionist were not pleasant and didn't pickup the phone to assist customers during the night.
Very bad smell at the front of the hotel and around the coffee shop area, maybe it came from rain sewage.

Street noise impacts rooms at the front of the hotel . Female staff were pleasant and helpful. Male staff member at reception was rude and unhelpful.
The rooms were modern clean and comfortable.
On arrival we were told that the cheaper rooms we had booked were for some unknown reason not available. We had to pay extra for a more expensive room even though that wasn’t what we’d booked. If the cheaper rooms were no longer available we should have been given the more expensive rooms without being charged. This was not a very welcoming first impression of the hotel . We felt rather ripped off.
The staff in particular, quietly efficient with any request. The rooms where squeaky clean.

Nice hotel, nice terrace and restaurant, goog coffeebar with eggcoffee, nice city. City and hotel has old fashioned colonial vibe with wide avenues and big trees.
