Shame the bar wasn't open, and nowhere for breakfast, but we understood why, only negatives really
Emplacement exceptionnel au cœur de la City ; ambiance feutrée et cosy, du moins à l’arrivée, personnel à l’écoute.
Chambre dépourvue de lumière naturelle. Pas de petit déjeuner le week-end (ce qui n’était pas précisé lors de la réservation). Grondement infernal du métro qui passe sous la rue toutes les 5-10 minutes. Machine à café à capsules mais pas de renouvellement des 2 capsules le deuxième jour.
Le jour de l’arrivée, le club hébergeait une réunion importante qui s’est poursuivie tard dans la nuit avec discussions à voix forte, pas précipités dans les couloirs, claquements de porte, grincements divers. Cette réunion bruyante était prévue et aurait du être mentionnée lors de la réservation, ce qui m’aurait sans doute incité à chercher ailleurs vu le prix de cet hébergement.

Much more personal than a typical hotel
The floors are very creaky so if you have an active person in the room above you, you sure know about it! Earplugs are provided which is thoughtful though.
we had an event very close by so the location was perfect for us.

Staff, building, cleanliness, room, street noise and location are very good.
The noise from the underground was very loud in my room No. 9 (2nd floor) the room comes with ear plugs (good gesture) which was a tell tale sign. Don't know specific's but it appeared to calm down around 00;30 but starts up again around 07:00 (Sunday). I live in a quiet cul-de-sac so I'm obviously not accustomed to that level of noise.
It is a beautiful building in a historic part of London, with great proximity to Liverpool St station for connections to Heathrow & Stansted Airports. The bed was extremely comfortable & all the furnishings & amenities luxurious & very high quality. There were no meals available the night (Fri) I stayed, nor breakfast on Sat but the members bar was open & I enjoyed a drink there in a very attractive space with outdoor garden bar.
Only very minor details to do with communication when I arrived, that was immediately resolved when I spoke to reception.
Couldn't get any more central. Beautiful hotel - proper 'old-London'. Every attention to detail.
