Staff were very friendly and helpful before and during our stay. Room was upgraded and bed was huge and very comfortable. Housemaid I spoke to was also very lovely. Pool was nice and not busy.

Nothing went well. Please read explanation below. Apart from being treated cold, unfriendly, unaccommodating, I am totally disappointed with the service rendered in the hotel. In the room, they only provide 1 washing liquid (which is supposed to be for shampoo, facial wash and bath gel. Unlike all other hotels, I get shampoo, conditioner and bath gel separately.
The kitchen hold a strict rules about closing time. I drove all the way from Birmingham to Glasgow and then to Drymen which was where the hotel was located took us approximately like 4.5 hours. We arrived at the hotel exactly 8.30pm and quickly drop our luggage and came to the restaurant. There were other guests inside having dinner and at the bar there were 2 guys having their beer and beer food. I was rejected from having dinner because the excuse was, the kitchen is shut AT 8.30pm and I told the staff, I just check in you can verify with the front desk. Then another staff came (a lady) both said they are shut and no more dinner. I told them I just check in at 8.30pm and we are hungry. The staff said you can go and try other places but all shut at 8.30pm. So, please let me know what should I do? They suggested I walked into a convenient store and find some biscuits and sandwiches for your dinner.
In the hotel industry, you put your guests in front of everything else COS WE PAY YOU MONEY. I looked at my watch it was 8.35pm and I showed the time shown on my watch, they agreed to that. They still insisted that the kitchen is SHUT.(FULL STOP). As a hotel guests being treated in this manner is certainly disappointing. I would strongly discourage any would be guests to check into such a place.
I liked the pool, sauna and steam room facilities. The bar area with sofas was a nice atmosphere to relax in with a drink and play our board games.
The staff were very professional and couldn't do enough to help. They allowed us to store our bikes in the hotel function suite so that they didn't need to be left on the car rack overnight!

Very very hot hotel & rooms. Heating was on in the corridors and didn't need to be, which in turn made the room very warm.

Petit bémol : la jeune réceptionniste restait au téléphone alors que nous étions 4 couples à attendre de" check in "après avoir marcher toute la journée. Pas très accueillant. On a patienter un long moment.
