Very beautiful hotel in a historic palace with a very large park outside.
Pros:

We had a very pleasant stay in this beautiful hotel! We had booked two standard rooms but received a upgrade to two enourmous and very beautifully furnished historical art-deco rooms (or rather suites). That was a great treat! Breakfast was not included and we ordered a la carte, and it was really good with fresh fruit and fresh watermelon juice!

Thank you Karni Bhavan for an enjoyable stay
Pros:

The staff were excellent and very supportive. If you enjoy art deco furniture you will sample some of the 1930/40s era with many interesting furnishings. The location was excellent for our purpose being close to the excellent Lalgarh Palace museum

Pros:

Breakfast was standard and could be better. Ethnic breakfast is priced less than american/ eggs for example, as toast is priced separately; the gardens are huge and would make all the difference if maintained and it is not and was desolate so I checked out.

Cons:

Maintenance and upkeep is low, budgets have to be allocated for it, and no sign of life in there- needs music, and occupancy to grow, else shut it down in low occupancy season; not worth value for money.

Pros:

They upgraded us to a large room. It was really large. It is a beautiful facility. Lot of history. The staff was very helpful. We stayed just one night.

Cons:

The shower tub did not drain well. Water was accumulating in the tub.

A welcome change in hospitality from an Indian Hotel.
Pros:

Customer friendly staff and service. Warm welcome and reception at time of check in. Fabulous cuisine and an art deco style hotel with only 12 rooms. A great value for your money. The property doesn’t charge your cc at time of check in, but only at checkout. All other properties which I stayed at in Rajasthan wanted their money upfront.

I stayed two nights.

I was fortunate to receive room number three, one floor up from ground level, an enormous room with many art deco elements. Had large fridge. A/c did not seem adjustable, but room temp was perfect. The bathroom was also very large, plenty of towels and abundant hot water. And very quiet, the most important attribute for me.

Equally impressive was the willingness of the staff to go the extra mile to help me deal with a problem. I had lost my wallet so had no plastic card to charge the bill. Working with booking.com, the were able charge against the card info I supplied online to guarantee the reservation. Many thanks to the office staff.

Cons:

The bed was comfortable, but short. I'm not tall, but my feet were hitting bed frame.
