Very cute and clean. Really nice helpful staff who bend over backwards. They offer you room service each day.
It was a little further from the main shopping and eating center and the beach. They do offer you a ride if needed /it’s good exercise to walk. About 20 minute walk from the beach and town
We loved the food!!! Top notch vegan, gluten free food! The best we've had - the chefs are amazing! Chef Franco was an amazing yoga teacher!
The front office staff does not speak English, which led to a bit of confusion initially, but we understood, and thank goodness for Google Translate! The yoga program could be more lively - we felt like that room was under utilized and could be more of a focal point.
Absolutely tranquility. Beautiful rooms and hotel grounds. Staff was excellent. Organic vegan restaurant had outstanding food served with beautiful presentation.
This hotel is further from town than I was willing to walk.
We had lunch and dinner. Both were amazing. Staff was very accommodating. The room was beautiful
Road to hotel was a little steep. Could walk to city center and beach but this hotel is a bit further away than most
nice facilities
good food
very nice staff
chaotic organisation
expensive
So, I'm a vegan, and coming across a fully vegan resort like Mother Earth Vegan Hotel while traveling was a nice surprise. The staff is super friendly, especially the bartenders and restaurant folks. The location is peaceful and out of the way, which can be good if you're into quiet spots.
But honestly, there were quite a few problems. Their website paints a different picture - they claim they're close to the airport and the beach, but it's not the truth. You'll need to hike for a good half hour on gravel roads to reach the beach. And the hotel itself? It's up this steep gravel hill that's a real pain to climb. The food was alright but not amazing, especially when you're shelling out about $100 for two per meal. They had a bunch of options on their online menu, but a lot of them weren't available when we were there. Plus, the free breakfast gets old quick - it's the same three choices every day.
The rooms? Comfy enough, but there were issues. Between the construction noise all day, an AC unit struggling to keep up with the heat, and a shower that had barely any water pressure (I mean, 20 minutes just for warm water!), it wasn't ideal.
The pool area was another letdown. Only four spots for guests, so you're out of luck most of the time. I ended up heading back to my room a lot because there just wasn't space. And let's talk about their event planning. I booked a private dinner for my honeymoon—$300 for a meal with music, flowers, candles, the whole shebang. But we ended up in the regular dining area without any of the romantic touches we were promised. They refused to refund us, instead offering a free meal the next time I visit - as if that helps me now. To top it off, they tried to charge me four times for this dinner I'd already paid for. Communication was a disaster. I was coordinating with one staff member for months before the trip, and then suddenly, radio silence. Turns out they'd been let go, and the hotel had no record of our discussions or bookings.
The owner, too, was a bit of a problem. She hangs around almost every night and initially seemed friendly, but some of the stuff she said really rubbed me the wrong way.
very calming and relaxing very nice staff
food was excellent but expensive
location not great you have to walk a long winding dirt road to get to it. Bit on the expensive side.
Staff, food, cleanliness, and amenities
Everything was amazing!
The check in with Victoria was perfect, they gave us fresh drink and cold towels to refresh. Victoria than took us to the room and did the rooming. The design and the cleanliness of the hotel was really nice. (when the house keeper actually does her job and come clean the room)
The service was a disaster even after telling them that they need to do something about it, it didn’t change anything. The cleaner didn’t clean the room even tho we put the sign on the door. (She even try to say that it flew away with the wind which wasn’t true as I stayed the entire day at the property and saw it on the door the whole day. ) The lunch took more than 3hours because of the time they took to bring the food. Even for beers that literally comes out of the fridge and they didn’t need to prepare anything they took time. They even brought things that we previously ordered at the table without us requesting anything.
Also, the first day of arriving we decided to take a nap, the cleaner came without even asking at 5pm.
She removed the extra pillows and blankets from the bed while we were in it trying to rest. she than closed the curtains without asking anything, switched on the lights and left. For the breakfast they didn’t even give us all the menus only the one included in the room. (Which only includes 3 breakfast type and is lacking in terms of options)
We ordered cocktails that we had to send back because they’ve put watermelon that we didn’t ask for and even after changing it we still found pieces of watermelon because they kept the same ice. Having spoken to Silvia the receptionist about all of this, she did not take care of it properly and it was very unprofessional. At the checkout, they even had bills from the restaurant that wasn’t ours because we paid directly after our lunch. They didn’t even offer to discount the mini bar from our room that was only 13$. The bathroom had a terrible odor and was full of ants at night.
what i place to stay! one if my favourite hotels ever! super nice architecture&interior design, beautiful poll, relaxing atmosphere, chill-music, delicious food, friendly stuff, quiet and walking distance to the beach. highly recommended👌🏻
the food is really tasty and the spa treatments are excellent
we felt it’s a little over priced for the accommodation and the food especially. it’s also a little out of town so ideally need a car to get to. we found the service a bit on the slow side too
