Lot to improve
Pros:

Ambience, staff service, the food served by the staff and their hospitality.

Cons:

The facility is not upto the standard for the price we paid for. No fridge, no tea table, no kettle, no cups, no towels and toiletries.
Doors were not locking.

Good room with some shortcomings
Pros:

- The location of the property is good. This homestay is one of the better ones in Malakkaparai
- Outside view from the room is good
- Staff is very cordial and helpful
- Food provided (breakfast) is excellent
- The provided room was very neat and the toilet was very clean

Cons:

- Only minimal amenities for the amount provided, I paid around 2300 INR and still didn't get a kettle, tea bag or clean towel
- Keep in mind that you've to bring your own towel and toilteries (toothpaste, toothbrush, soap). These will not be provided
- The owner likes to rent the room mostly to bachelors as it can accommodate 6-8 people (the room is quite big). I went with family and the adjacent room was rented to a gang of bachelors. Keep this in mind if you are going with family.
