Ons home-away-from-home.. we blijven maar terugkomen 😉

Tijdens ons verblijf in Sunset Marquis hadden we in eerste instantie een kamer die wat tegenviel qua drukte en geluidsoverlast. Ook waren er enkele afspraken gemaakt met de conciërge ter gelegenheid van de verjaardag van mijn man, waaronder een verrassing en een extra bed op de kamer, maar deze waren helaas niet doorgekomen doordat de betreffende medewerker niet meer bij het hotel werkte.

Toen we dit bij de receptie aangaven, kwamen we al snel in contact met de manager on duty: Sandrine. Wat een fantastische vrouw. Zij weet precies wat hospitality betekent. Ze luisterde met oprechte aandacht, toonde warmte en empathie, en handelde direct. Ze bood ons een gratis upgrade aan voor het ongemak en heeft ons met zoveel vriendelijkheid geholpen dat dit ons verblijf echt bijzonder heeft gemaakt.

Wij zijn zeer tevreden over het personeel bij Sunset Marquis, maar Sandrine verdient in het bijzonder een groot compliment. Dankjewel Sandrine, voor jouw persoonlijke aandacht en gastvrijheid, en dat je ons verblijf zo speciaal hebt gemaakt.

Fantastic hotel in West Hollywood, super cozy, good vibe, rooms , service and staff!
Pros:

This hotel, quite popular among rock stars, is fantastic. We stayed in the main building for a few nights and felt home. The room is quite spacious, with a refrigerator available for guests to store their stuff, free bottles of water and coffee capsules every day . If you want to skip the good valet service, there is a public parking available around the corner.

The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful, they have handled our package deliveries super well and shown us all the hotel merch, which is awesome (book, shirts, etc).

The hotel has a restaurant with excellent food options for breakfast, lunch or dinner and a good bar that goes until 2am. And checkout is at 12, not the classic 11am.

Finally, the hotel itself has a fantastic decoration, with pictures of rock musicians all over, a gallery with great rock books and pictures for, a cozy pool and a full recording studio that is definitely worth a visit. Excellent place to be in LA!

Luxury & history on Sunset Boulevard!
Pros:

A wonderful experience! Great to stay somewhere with so much history. We were ungraded to a suite which was very comfortable. The concierge in particular was very helpful. We enquired about a rooftop bar & 5 minutes later we had a table reserved and were driven there in the hotel car! A lovely moment & a little window into LA life. The food was excellent & the mocktail menu exceptional. We will be back!

Cons:

Our only gripe was our neighbours who smoked pot & the smell was so strong in our room. We did not complain. It was New Years & we didn't want any stress. And the smell is everywhere in LA.
