The fact that all of the reviews have had zero response shows that the owners don’t give a damn about customer.

Bons dervice6
Petit déjeuner pas top. Buffet minimaliste
Rooms have a nice old style about them
Charges in US dollars.
No English speakers during the day
The rate on the door is far more than online and they’re not open to negotiation at all
The French sounding name is as French as the whole place actually gets.
Breakfast is finished by 9.00am and is barely is sparse.
There were no cereals, a bit of sliced up melon and other fruit. Some of the most plain sliced white bread you could ever find and that was it. The scrambled egg and ham from the kitchen was the best bit but you leave hungry. No Asian food available at all it was a bit puzzling. No WiFi in the breakfast room.
You never see any one who owns the place so I imagine it’s just owned by a group and they stick a Laos person on the desk.
The breakfast man had a smile as did two of the lads on reception but the women never smiled or even looked up when we walked past. Why or why are they there?
It could be lovely, but it just lacks charm and any personality whatsoever.
Buona la posizione. Camera grande e pulita.
Un po' più di cordialità non guasterebbe.

Le Bouton D'or Boutique Hotel was a great place to start and end your Thakhek Loop trip. Our room was well appointed with a nice balcony overlooking the Mekong River across the street.
Our shower was super nice with plenty of hot water to rinse off all that dust from the loop. Since I am bringing up the loop, I would recommend doing the first two legs counter clockwise to NAHIM, then spend two days there (one day for cave exploration) then I would turn around and backtrack to finish the loop as the last leg was extremely boring and finished on a long section of highway back to Thakhek. I think seeing the scenery from the opposite direction would’ve been worth doing instead of this last leg to complete a loop.
Back to the hotel…great breakfast, helpful team and its location is super close to the market as well. I’d recommend this plac!
The only minor fault I found was housekeeping did not fill the soap and shampoo dispensers (we stayed in the exact same room so this was noticed).
Charming colonial Hotel. Beautiful, neat dark wood. Spacious and tidy with historic flair. Okay breakfast. Ginger chicken is either very good or „well…okay“.
For a big guy like myself (187cm, 108kg) the beds are very narrow.
Bathroom stank like sewer the whole time.
Undefinable meat in the green curry. Gross.
The day receptionist is rather odd acting with seldom eye contact. The young man during evening/night is alert and on point. Both are helpful.
