Great one night stay.
Pros:

Beautiful location close to Donington Park, only stayed one night and left early so didn’t eat there, have done on previous occasions and all excellent. Staff pleasant and helpful. Highly recommend.

No info for guests in the rooms, other than the basic necessary!
I was hoping to find a footpath or similar! to Donington race track! So as to not take my car everyday (my son was racing) But although staff where helpful, they were not local, so didn’t know the area!. I did however? Notice a footpath leading in the right direction as I was driving home! Just before the first roundabout. So I parked my car and investigated. No signs, so I followed it and it that actually led to gate 5 of Donington track. Result!!!
That info would have been useful. Plus, there was lots of tracks going in different directions from this so could be a more direct path. Only 1-2K instead of 10mins the care!!??

Beautifully located by the river. The place is small, but has everything you need for quiet stay. Staff are friendly and food is great.

Wonderful location, poor service and...not a room for a good night's sleep

A lovely location, it looked wonderful from the outside. The food, when I got it, was very tasty (if cold)

Cons:

1. Reception. If you have a guest with a complex set of changes to be made, either ask her to step aside whilst waiting guests get checked in or better still, get someone out to the front desk to assist. Leaving people standing around waiting to check in creates a bad impression from the start.
2. Bra food. You have to wait to be seated but this was a joke - lots of staff but no one getting to grips with people waiting to get to a table *seeing that most tables were empty. If a single guest then you become invisible. Wait for a drink, then wait for a menu. Wait to order, food is wrong, when they get it right it's lukewarm. POOR
3, Room. Don't accept a downstairs room in the so called cottage suites. They've been poorly renovated to the point that you hear every move made up guests upstairs (and I mean,,,EVERY move). Not a good place for sleeping

Beautiful hideaway, would stay again
Pros:

Stayed before so know the hotel. Room and bathroom fine for an overnight or slightly longer stay, location beautiful and food and bar areas and service were excellent. Had one of the best meals we've had at a hotel for a very long time, can't fault the menu or the presentation.

Absolutely perfect
Pros:

Absolutely beautiful house , the decor and furniture were so perfect. The house was well equipped with everything we needed. 2 peaceful outdoor sitting areas perfect to drink a glass of wine and relax. The property was very close to Carcassonne, bars, restaurants and shops and a short beautiful walk along the river Aude to Cité de Carcassonne. Close to the canal du midi and train station
