if you don't like smoking smell and don't speak Chinese, this will be a difficult stay.
Pros:

the staff was nice enough to make me stay and work in the lobby after I decided not to stay at the hotel.

Cons:

my room was smelling like a very old and stinky ashtray. I wanted to change room (hoping for less smell) but then I was asked to pay, because staff forgot to initially ask me. And their payment device could not accept visa nor master card. Therefore I decided not to stay. The first lady at counter was quite nice but she left and was replaced by a very very young lady who really did not speak a word of English and was also not at all ready to understand anything I would try to say, as she was apparently completely overwhelmed with the situation of being confronted to a foreigner.

Clean, central and comfortable
Pros:

Spotlessly clean, polite and super efficient staff

Cons:

Although they said soundproof rooms there was a gap in the wall between adjoining window and voices could clearly be heard in the morning.

Also - this was booked online with pay at the hotel on arrival… but my Visa card that I use for all booking.com bookings was not accepted!! Had to pay cash!
