Greenfield Lodge Hotel Bar & Bistro

We had a room with a lake view it was FANTASTIC!! We had a wonderful stay. Food was so flavorful great menu. We definitely enjoyed our stay here. I would stay here again. Staff was lovely.

Booked a double room but given twin beds and a room change was unavailable as they were “fully booked”. This wasn’t the case as there were only three vehicles in the car park while we were there and around 20 rooms. Given the location was miles from anywhere I doubt they attract many people on foot!
The room was passable but the bathroom was unpleasant with a mouldy shower area. The whole place is in need of some modernisation.
The “free breakfast” was never mentioned, but given the lack of cleanliness in the bathroom we didn’t fancy it anyway.
We stayed in four hotels during our visit to Ireland and this was by far the most disappointing.

Very friendly staff. Our room was clean and quiet and we had a lovely view of the water. Breakfast was great.

The service at the Greenfield Lodge was some of the best we received on our trip. The proprietor was very kind and gracious and went out of his way to meet our needs. The dinner at the restaurant was excellent, and the breakfast was hearty and delicious. The property is a bit off the beaten path but totally worth the drive. It was quiet and perfect for an evening stroll or morning run.

A comfortable and quiet place next to the lake. Reaching the property can be a but troublesome if you don't have a car.

Awesome pub/restaurant/hotel basically on its own private road on a lake. Friendly staff. There’s a game room with a pool table and darts.

We had a great family stay. We were right on the water so lots for everyone to do. The bar below was staffed with friendly people, honestly all the staff from bar to manager to cleaning staff were all lovely!
When we checked in, there was an issue with our booking (it said 3 ppl but we were 4 so the room we had been allocated only slept 3) but the Manager sorted it out immediately ensuring we were comfortable and well taken care of. Those pieces don't go unnoticed. Overall a super stay and we would highly recommend!

This place is in a beautiful and peaceful location. Obviously a lot of time has been spent upgrading the place. Just a wee bit disappointed in our room. The shower was a major let down. Needs a do over desperately. Otherwise it is a grand place to stay if you are wanting to get away from it all.

We arrived late and the staff was very helpful in getting us settled. It’s a wonderful location by the lake where our kids went for a swim and we had drinks at the bar. We had a lovely walk around the lake after the yummy breakfast. We really enjoyed our stay and it was a great stop in our travels through Ireland.

It is an older beautiful building and kept in its original character. There are quirks, of course, and that goes along with the character. It sits just feet from the water, with gorgeous views. The people were fantastic as well as the food!!! I stayed here because it was a central location for my travels. Even with the live band (yes -LIVE), it was fairly peaceful and quiet in my room. A little far from amenities, but it is Ireland, so there's not a Kwik Shop every 2 miles 😉

Schöne Lage am See. Leider hatten wir das Zimmer über der Kneipe. Die Ausstattung insgesamt ist sehr überschaubar.

Beautiful view of the lake! Clean and comfortable rooms. We arrived too late for dinner but, breakfast was amazing! Everyone we met were pleasant and accommodating.

Owner is very friendly and helpful. Food is really good.

Great stay! Very quiet and peaceful area, the staff was welcoming and accommodating. The food is really good as well. We had dinner as well as breakfast, portion size is very agreeable. Highly recommended for those looking for great views and peace and quiet.

Loved the location and the price. It was very enjoyable and the staff was amazing and helped. I would highly recommend it.

Beautiful setting on the lake, the staff were great, the road to get to hotel was very twisting and narrow

L’hôtel est très bien situé avec une très joli vue.
Le petit déjeuner est très bon et copieux.
Bémol : le lit est très bruyant (grincement) et pas de nécessaire de toilettes dans la salle de bain notamment pour se doucher (savon shampoings)
Personne agréable.

Room was too warm, patio doors did not open and only one very small window. Windows in room and restaurant very dirty and many cobwebs and dead flies.
Bed frame was noisiest I have ever come across, loud squeak at the slightest movement. Breakfast was a fiasco, no cereals, only porridge which I ordered followed by omelette but the omelette was served first. Waiter was a pleasant young man, French, and very apologetic explaining it was his first week. We could hear arguments in the kitchen between the chef and the young waiter.
The young lady on reception was pleasant and helpful and the room was clean, just the flies spoiled it.
The hotel is in a beautiful setting, just needs someone there all the time to keep an eye on things.
