Lovely pit stop on the way to the lakes. Would stay again
Pros:

Lovely old building.
Bar/ restaurant area very comfortable and welcoming with open log fire.
Dinner good value and very tasty
Staff very welcoming
Stayed room 2 - downstairs lounge area then upstairs mezzanine rafted room in the attic as bedroom/ensuite.
Breakfast very good quality sausages

Cons:

If you had mobility issues the spiral staircase in our room would be an issue

Beautiful manor house, with well appointed comfortable rooms and great staff

Fantastic room, incredibly clean and well equipped. Great location for where I needed and staff were friendly and attentive. I will be staying again

Read the small print regarding using the swimming pool a rip off !!

Limited hourly use of swimming pool charged at £25 a day - rip off !!!

Fantastic hotel pub.
Pros:

Lovely room, pub, staff. Lots of parking. Really great.
Breakfast - Mushroom/spinach option was great.

A lonely peaceful and relaxing weekend.
Pros:

The breakfast was excellent.
Whilst the hotel is a little out in the countryside this did not bother us as we were visiting relatives and they came to dinner at the hotel.
Dinner was excellent too.

Loved the candles on the tables and excellent food.
Pros:

We liked the overall ambiance and especially the candles on every table, it felt like the whole place was really looked after and cared for, with the fires lit in the winter it will be even better! A very good dinner menu and breakfast and a lovely room with a large comfortable bed, looking forward to breaking our journey here again.
