The carlsberg was very nice & the breakfast was lovely.
19.50 for fish & chips! If you seen what I got I've never seen anything so miserable on a plate before no peas no salad I had to ask,! Fish isnt fresh you'd buy what they offered in tesco yourself. Even more expensive for the steak its the size if your palm & came out raw. They mask the serving of your meal by leaving the basket of chips on your plate! Ridiculous prices for what we got. Forced to sit in an area we didn't want to sit in due to bookings. Sorry did we not pay & book our stay surely that should include a table? We agreed we'd have dinner at 6 soon as we sat down at 5 they were round taking the order we were rushed! Door handle in room cut my husband's hand sharp edge sticking out. Blocked toilet water level raised high in our room. Single bed could only hold a child very squeaky & unsteady. No outside lights at night if you want to walk over to the bar pitch black. No atmosphere whatsoever no craic everyone was whispering. Couldn't even get a sprite with breakfast told bar not open, in other words if you want a sprite with your already paid breakfast you pay for it! This was a very disappointing stay. Never again.
When we arrived the place was locked up we couldn't get in when we finally got in there was no heat no hot water and I was informed that we were the only two people staying that night this place is in the middle of nowhere we had no choice but to leave. I would like my money back
Everything was a disaster travelled the whole way from Donegal for that
Das Personal war sehr freundlich und das Nachtessen war gut und schön hergerichtet. Alles hat super geklappt und die Preise sind sehr in Ordnung.
The location is beautiful. Such a lovely place to stay and eat. The food was great and staff were very friendly and attentive. Excellent value for money.
The rooms weren’t very sound proof.
was inexpensive
road down to it where we met a school bus on a very narrow road
L'emplacement au bord d'un lac, c'est isolé et calme.
C'est le vrai lodge comme on le cherche
Friendly staff. Warm comfortable room. Scenic views great choice in breakfast
NA
Nice staff.
Great views and good breakfast
The room was relatively clean
The bathroom was not clean. Broken toilet lid just left there, very poor shower. Room was freezing I had to ask for the heating to be switched on
The location is beautiful. Good for those who are travelling with pets.
Great location
The staff were not very hospitable nor were they willing to accept responsibility for failings. An apology for a mistake goes a long way, I wouldn't be inclined to write worry bad reviews but it was a very poor experience.
It was very obvious that they had run out of stew and decided to just serve the tiny bit they had left (in a cereal bowl, there were about 4 small pieces of beef and not even one piece of potato). I asked the staff who said these were the normal portion sizes. I know from speaking to the man the next morning this was a lie.
I then ordered a warm apple pie, which I'm pretty sure was not heated, but more importantly had two lumps of mould on top of it. The young girls that were working did not handle this particularly well although the red headed girl had the decency to apologise for the mouldy pie and tried to remedy the situation. We did have to request a refund ourselves more than once.
The room we were given was not as advertised (no terrace and very little lake view). When I tried to raise this with a seemingly more senior member of staff in the morning I was very unimpressed with the way he spoke to me and was shocked that there would be no offer of a refund for the meal at the very least. He was more interested in blaming booking.com for apparently advertising the room incorrectly. We left without eating the breakfast that was included in the room rate as we had no interest in eating from the kitchen again. The room was not filthy but was not particularly clean, there was a mostly empty can of beer left in one of the drawers. The radiators were on full whack all night which was very uncomfortable for sleeping. There was also lights on in the room all night (one in the room and one outside the window) which made for a not very restful night's sleep.
