Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber und hat eine tolle Lage, um die Stadt zu erkunden.
Das Frühstück gibt es in einem Restaurant, ca. 5 Gehminuten entfernt - gute Auswahl. Die Bedienung dort war sehr nett.
Der Selfcheck in hat super funktioniert.
Wir hatten ein Zimmer bzw. Apartment im Erdgeschoss ohne Tageslicht. Das war der einzige „persönliche“ Kritikpunkt.

The Casa Museo La Merced in Malaga is a lovely restoration of an old house with independent small apartments set within the city-centre. This house is set in between other houses on the same street, thus there are only windows to the street side and towards the interior small courtyard or light "chimney" which bring fresh air from the rooftop down into the apartments. The building is only two floors high, so there are some apartments on the ground floor and others on the first floor (which, for North Americans, would be the second floor). There is no elevator.
The decor, the restoration work of the building, and all amenities are very nice and aesthetically pleasing.
The location is perfect, we could walk everywhere to the oldest city centre (15 min.) and to the beach (25min.). We stayed for 4 nights, and had reserved and paid two months in advance with the special request for an apartment at the top floor that is far away from the street (to have quiet at night). The organisers, the "Stay Unique Family" company, were very kind and gave us a truly quiet room/studio-apartment at the back of the building - Thank You for that, we slept peacefully !!
As for the address - this is just a note to remember if you go there - the street address given is correct, but cannot be reached by car; it is a narrow walk-alley where cars cannot enter. Thus, our taxi (coming from the airport in just 25min drive) had to drop us off on the normal road off from the actual alley, and we had to walk 2min. to the entrance door of the Casa Museo La Merced.
We did not know that the Casa Museo La Merced is not a hotel, but merely a set of apartments (mostly studio-apartments) where there is no staff and no service. If you wish to have clean towels - so an e-mail on the 3rd day informed us - you can request these for an extra fee, as well as cleaning of the apartment during your stay. During our 4 days there, we never saw any staff at all. That was not a problem, however, just a surprise. Upon arrival, we received correct instructions on how to enter and retrieve our apartment key. And once we entered our apartment, we were surprised by the pleasant decor and the convenient little kitchen with water boiler and other amenities.
The position of the property was good . A lovely courtyard.
There was an awful smell from the toilet.
No draining board next to the sink and no tea towel .
It would have been helpful to have a few suggestions as to what to see and where to eat .

One small complaint- the shower head sprays everywhere and low pressure. Small issue.
The property had an *excellent location* in the city center, making it easy to access shops, restaurants, and attractions. Well-connected by public transport.
One of the main issues with the property was the *dimness in the room*, which contrasted sharply with how it appeared in the photos. While the pictures suggested a bright and cozy atmosphere, the lack of natural light made it feel quite gloomy. Additionally, there was an *unpleasant odor* coming from the bathroom, which significantly affected the overall comfort of the stay.

El aparcamiento para el coche es horrible,casi imposible.No hay nadie que te pueda atender personalmente,todo es por telefono y la entrada por codigos para recojer las llaves.
The location was great, it was very clean and comfortable. The downstairs courtyard is very pretty.
There were lots of homeless people around the street where the apartments are located. We would have preferred a room with more windows for natural light.
Everything was prepared so great, and the decor was so beautiful. Perfect localization.
