Close proximity and staff were amazing
No water on the rooms
Everything was perfect and Catherine on reception was super-helpful and friendly. We will hopefully be back next year
The fantastic welcome we got from Catherine. She explained everything in great detail. The restaurant directly across the road was excellent. We had a nice evening meal. Would liked to have seen more hand pulled ales
Good choice for breakfast.
Although the room was adequate the floors were very uneven and squeaky.
The shower was actually too powerful to the point of being uncomfortable
The staff were friendly, and there was free parking at the back of the hotel. The room was clean and a good size. We didn't use the communal areas in the hotel, but they looked nice. We appreciated that an early check-in was made possible for us as we needed to change for a wedding after a long drive.
Our room was at the front of the hotel on the ground floor and the road through the town is very busy. I wouldn't have been able to seep without ear plugs. Nothing you can really do about this I expect as the road was initially made for a few horses and carriages, not the volume of traffic that now passes through.
Location and value for money
Had the twin which was fine. Couldn’t understand why there was a bedside lamp between the two beds when there was no electrical socket anywhere along the wall so it might as well have been a candle and a box of matches.
Staff friendly very accommodating location good breakfast exceptional value for money
Shower a bit slippy but safety signs present
Average accommodation. Basic room.
It’s a very quaint hotel in a very quaint village, the staff were friendly.
I arrived at 23:10 (flight delay) with my 86 yr old mother. The hotel is unmanned after 11, but have an out of hours mobile number. However, Woburn village is a signal black spot so I couldn’t contact the number. My daughter (in Ireland) managed to contact them 30mins later so we eventually gained access at 23:45. Maybe have a more accessible way to contact out of hours?
We were greeted by Richard friendly and helpful, and explained all the necessaries to us. We were told to help ourselves to additional tea/coffee making held t the front desk, however when I went to get some more tea/milk that night there was no ‘normal’ tea and only a few milk sachets.
Our bathroom was rather dated and the plug hole was very corroded making it very shabby looking and the plug lets the water seep out. The shower was not adjustable this wouldn’t necessarily be a problem but for my 4’6” mum it was an issue as the shower head was too high.
Finally, my mum is hearing impaired and the tv in the room did not have accessible subtitles I checked all settings and also asked reception but unfortunately we could not resolve this.
Hotel part of the property is separate from the pub, and the rooms in the hotel were lovely. Breakfast in the pub area was good and easy parking on site.
Some rooms are in the pub part of the property. We were originally given a room above the pub that was dated and not up to expectations. Spoke to the really helpful lady on reception and she changed rooms for us to the main hotel building.
Excellent stay as always
Nothing to dislike
The Bell Hotel has been a pleasure to stay at. Staff is so friendly and helpful all the time. Food was absolutely delicious and especially the rooms towards the back of the building were super quiet.
My mum and me lived on the upper floor during some quite warm days and it was impossible to get the heat out of the rooms. There is a little ventilator in the room but honestly does not much. For safety reasons you can’t open the windows properly which means you’re gonna have to sit through the heat up there.
Staff were friendly room was very small bed was small and uncomfortable and bathroom was small to
Excellent accommodation and professional and efficient team!
Nothing to dislike
