Slow check in process, as with all hotels in India.
El edificio es magnífico y decorado con mucho gusto. El personal un 10, tanto en recepción como en limpieza.
Sin duda lo peor es la ubicación al lado del ruidoso transbordador, que no para en todo el día. La suite que teníamos justo daba al lado. Un horror
Le personnel est adorable et serviable que ce soit au restaurant ou a la piscine ou a l'accueil. Lorsque vous demandez des infos ils vous conseillent bien et vous donne de bonnes recommandations concernant les restaurants autour. L hotel est trés bien situé proche du centre ville. Trés jolie décoration style Colonial sans être vieillot trés bien entretenue. La piscine est propre de taille correcte
Le restaurant doit être amélioré car ce n'est pas trés bon nous avons essayé bien sure les plats indiens et les plats Européens. Le défaut de cet hotel est le bruit généré a cause des allers/retours des feries toute la journée qui donne sur la piscine et sur les chambres (water metro) ce qui gache le plaisir !! Le SPA est trés cher nous l'avons fait a l'extèrieur de l'hotel

Food service in the restaurant was wanting- not as high quality as expected, not as timely and generally not on top of their game.
There was very little to fault with this stay for us. We have been on a road trip this holiday. This was the best one for us. Service is exceptional. The property is just amazing! Extremely well maintained. Great for children as well. And the food was so good, that it was hard to stop eating!
A big thanks to the entire staff! Loved the stay, and we hope to be back again soon.
Wish you had something for reducing the mosquitos. That was the only reason we were literally afraid to stay out downstairs to enjoy the waterside.
Standout staff member was Joseph the driver - he took both my mum and I to the airport and was just superb. So professional, courteous, knowledgeable and friendly. He was a delight and such a great representative of the CGH brand!

Location is excellent, walking distance to everything, lovely grounds, breakfast outside is lovely in morning and it's not buffet so it feels very intentional and not wasteful. Architecture is lovely, colonial style, in line with the local surroundings but still comfortable.
Nothing to really complain about. Just generally felt the hotel was a bit overpriced for what it is compared to other 5* hotels in India with per night stay at similar prices or below.
I just loved the staff. So professional, helpful, friendly and approachable. The Hotel was special - fresh and inviting. The location was amazing and all of the complimentary benefits like High Tea and the Harbour boat ride made it extra special.
Being a bit of a wine buff. I feel that the wine list could be expanded further with the help of a sommelier.

The noise. Simply terrible. From just after 5 am until 10 pm, every 5 minutes an extremely noisy commercial ferry arriving or leaving from 50 metres away. Too noisy to sit at pool, couldn't sleep beyond 5.30am/6 am.
in general it was ok.
The ferry, right next to the hotel is extremely noisy!
Plus, when approaching and leaving rhe ferry station the building was vibrating as well.
