Very good breakfast / wide variety
Attentive and professional staff
Comfortable/spacious rooms in many cases
Basic bathroom amenities provided (shampoo, conditioner, dryer)
Cons:
Frequent cleanliness problems (dirty linens, mold, dust, torn curtains)

High cleaning/extra fees for privately managed apartments

Categories

Cleanliness
6.5
Multiple reviews report poor cleanliness: dirty sheets, dusty floors, mold, torn/soiled curtains, cups with mildew and inconsistent cleaning (Airbnb units notably worse). A few guests praised immaculate cleaning, but negatives dominate.
Service
9.9
Staff and onsite hotel service repeatedly described as excellent and attentive; several guests explicitly praise the atendimento. Some management/hosting issues reported for privately managed flats (invoice problems, difficult contact), but hotel staff performance is very strong.
Location
10
Consistently praised across reviews: central, excellent for sightseeing, near shopping and main points — location is a key positive and often cited as the reason guests chose the property.
Room Quality
8
Mixed: some rooms are spacious and comfortable with good views and hot showers; others are old or shabby (worn furnishings, broken TV, torn curtains, bed discomfort, small shower spaces).
Amenities
8.6
Good basic amenities in many rooms (shampoo, conditioner, dryer, good shower). However frequent problems with Wi‑Fi (slow or absent), occasional AC malfunction or cigarette smell, and TVs not functioning in some units.
Value for Money
8.7
Several guests mention good cost‑benefit and reasonable rates when booked in advance; offset by complaints about high cleaning fees for some apartments and losses caused by mismanaged private-flat bookings.
Food and Beverage
10
Breakfast is repeatedly described as varied, complete and diversified (many options of breads, cakes and proteins). A minority (private flats) did not include breakfast, but overall F&B is a strong positive.
Overall Experience
9.5
Overall impression is positive due to excellent location, strong service and very good breakfast, but marred for some guests by cleanliness, Wi‑Fi and accommodation management issues (notably with privately managed flats).

Cons:

Hospedagem Lets Ideia Hotel
Pros:
