Pros:

Petit déjeuné reçu à la boulangerie au dessous de l'hôtel, assiette et verres en cartons, vieille salle, un oeuf brouillé avec une petite salade et un donut... rien n'est bien expliqué sur ce que nous pouvions avoir.

Cons:

Tout était assez vieux et pas entretenu, le matelas avait un ressort qui sortait, le pigeons sur le toit juste à coté ont fait du bruit toute la nuit.

Am I in Africa?
Pros:

It was clean with a nice courtyard and third floor balcony.

The room was basic but had many nice touches.

Cons:

The beds were old and not very comfortable

The place is in a fairly rough part of town - many people would find it a bit too much like an African city - despite its shabby feeling it felt safe

The hotel portion is on the third floor up fairly long steep stairs.

Cons:

Guests have to climb 2 sets of flights of steps without any concierge services. We booked the room for 3 persons but there were only 2 sets of towels. Worst of all, one of the housekeeping staff was very rude and dishonest.

De steile en lange trappen, zijn een heel groot nadeel, vooral met koffers van max. 23 kg.

Een aanrader!
Pros:

Aardig personeel, elke dag worden de kamers schoongemaakt en elke ochtend konden we genieten van een heerlijk ontbijt bij de bakker.

Cons:

Het voelt wat onprettig om ‘a avonds naar de guesthouse te wandelen. Verder ligt het wel heel gunstig naar Simpson Bay.
