Very clean, lovely decor and great staff

Location value and staff
I have stayed at this hotel over many years while it has gradually been refurbished. The decor is lovely, staff friendly and helpful and the location perfect for visiting my daughter.
Although my room at the top of the hotel had a double glazed window the frame had an inadequate seal with the wall and the wind whistled through the gaps (very cold in early April!). I had to turn the room heating up to 27° to feel warm
The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable and room service was great, exactly what we needed after a long journey. Very comfortable bed - we had a great night sleep.
Absolutely nothing - a great stay.
Location style decor rooms breakfast all great
Service and food in the restaurant
The parking that is all
The food was a rip off, no additional blankets, bed was terrible, and on a slant, nearly fell out, floor is very uneven
Situated above the harbour it was a lovely stroll down to the beach and to look at the revamped harbour walls. Still some pieces of the Folkestone art left to look at as well. The best fish and chips in a long while at Papa's just down the road....
All was good for our stay but parking would be a problem when it's busy.

Nice historic hotel on a nice location, friendly staff, good food.
Great location for a weekend away exploring Folkestone.
Hotel was very nice for the price and the location was wonderful.
Nothing
It had 2 queen beds which suited our needs , it was very clean
It’s not family friendly ? We have 2 small children a 6 month old and a 2 year old every-time we used the lift it was a 20 / 30 minute wait as the cleaners use the lift to bring down the laundry and equipment, making us late to met family, also causing extreme upset to our children , on our 2nd day at the hotel we needed to get back to our room on the 3rd floor quick with my 6 month old in her pushchair as she needed changing we had to wait 30 minutes for the lift , upon approaching the manager after waiting for 10 minutes she did not acknowledge us neither our screaming baby or very agitated 2 year old , there was no communication as to how much longer we would have to wait , she just kept stomping up and down the stairs .
We needed to use the slop due to using a pushchair on the 2nd morning it wad closed off so we had to lift a double pushing down the steps .
The pushchair did not fit down the very narrow corridor so we had to clasps the pushchair at once we got out of the lift .
It very disappointing and misleading as family rooms are advised on the website. Do on these grown it was not an enjoyable stay for us .
Beautifully renovated and great location.
Internet was a bit patchy at times.
It was very classy
Didn't get much sleep cause if someone is walking around upstairs the floor boards creak so loud and we had a door in the room that leads to the room next door so it was very loud and could hear everything
Comfortable. Clean.
Some areas of the hotel dated.
