Ideal si se va a hacer excursión en barco
Pros:

Bien ubicado muy cerca de la zona donde salen las excursiones en barco. La habitación estaba bien aunque no era muy grande (la cama era cómoda) y el baño bastante amplio; el personal muy amable, me ayudó en todo lo que necesité.

Pros:

Hotel ligt een beetje achter af. Wel door een steegje snel op de boulevard. Zonde dat ze de baai hebben dicht gegooid en een soort moderne Dubai achtige nieuwbouw aan het neerzetten zijn. (Of je moet daar van houden)ontbijt alleen Vietnamees. Wel een droge boterham maar niks om te beleggen.

Cons:

Ontbijt. Kamer zijn verouderd en badkamer is ook aan vervanging toe.

Pros:

Friendly staff, Comfortable and everything you need, good price and good location. Nice and quiet to sleep.

5am got woken up by noisy guests. Not the hotels fault but I didn't sleep much because of this.

Great hotel and great manager
Pros:

Tony, then manager, was incredible. My partner came down with good poisoning whilst staying at the hotel and he couldn’t have been any more attentive, he even went to the pharmacy for us to get some medication. Thank you so much Tony! The room was also lovely and location was fab.

Relaxing stay with Tony.
Pros:

Helpful staff, nice breakfast, clean nd comfy rooms at a good price. Close to town restaurants and beaches but on a quieter side street

Cons:

Would have loved breakfast pho but it wasn't. Hardship to eat the delicious crispy banana crepes

Amazing stay
Pros:

We had a perfect stay in cat ba at Green Pearl hotel. Tony was super helpful even before we checked in, arranging a boat trip on one day, bike on another, and our trip back to Hanoi. The rooms were just like the picture, super comfortable - and so cheap too! I would 100% recommend staying here on your cat ba trip!

Nice and friendly hotel in Cat Ba city
Pros:

Tony was a very nice and helpful host. The room was really nice and the location of the hotel is very good if you don’t want to stay at the busy waterfront (lots of construction is going on there) of Cat Ba City. The breakfast was simple but really delicious and friendly.

Disappointing experience, not sure how it has been rated so highly
Pros:

It was a place to sleep and shower. Close to the main parts of the town and on a quiet street which was good. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Cons:

Disappointing experience, pretty sure most of the high rating reviews for this place are fake. Bed was very springy and stiff, blanket was ripped, bathroom was a bit dirty and no hand soap, main shower head didn't work, and shower temperature went from freezing to boiling with not much in between. TV was broken and not a smart TV so pretty useless. Staff were friendly and helpful but kept disappearing so we nearly missed our bus in the morning as we couldn't check out. The window on the room didn't shut properly or lock.

The price is really low, but you get what you pay for.
Pros:

After the first disappointment we (mentally) arranged and actually had an enjoyable stay.
We did not complain to the staff, because well the price is very good.
And the location is good, it's so close to the busy roads of cat ba.

Cons:

The fridge was not working properly. The AC was working somehow, not good but still. In the shower we had the options of cold or burning hot water, with only one teeny tiny spot you had to find to actually be able to shower. The slippers were disgusting. The bed sheets had many small and big holes. And the TV was not working at all.
And lots of dust.
And mold. The q tips provided in the bathroom are molded even though they are wrapped in plastic.

Superb
Pros:

The room had everything we needed and was clean. The beds were comfy and the staff were really friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay and found the room really good value for the price.

Cons:

The only downfall was that there was construction going on right next door, where giant boulders were being drilled into from 8am, but this was not the hotels fault and hopefully won’t affect anyone else’s stay in the future as they were finishing the work just as we were leaving.
