This is my favorite place to stay in Mexico City.
Pros:

Central location; well-designed; lovely ambience; comfortable rooms. The staff are wonderful and very helpful. The concierge service was exceptional at helping me rebook a bus ticket.

Cons:

Due to the location on the Zocalo, the streets in the surrounding area are often blocked for large public events and taxis cannot get to the hotel. This is not the fault of the hotel, which works very hard to resolve problems of logistics.

Nice place, but a noisy room.

Breakfast was great. Staff were great. Cafe downstairs was great.

Cons:

the room (518) was next to both the freight and the guest elevator. So the room was VERY NOISY all night. A good sleep was impossible. The hair dryer only blew cold air

Pleasure stay at the Central Zocalo.
Pros:

The breakfast buffet was great. The ability to get a snack and beverage at the café as complimentary was much appreciated. The cleanliness of the hotel was very good and the hotel staff were very friendly.

Cons:

The only con was the noise in the evening outside from the public square, but that was to be expected.

Highly recommend
Pros:

The location, only a block from the plaza, was great. As a single female traveler, I was really touched by the do's and don'ts the staff gave me about safely navigating the city. The free walking tour was well paced and informative. I also loved the delicious free breakfast over looking the plaza. Last but not least, the hotel's Cafe that is open 24/7 is an excellent bargain. I would definitely stay here again.

Excellent hotel in a central location
Pros:

The best part of this hotel was the central location. It was walkable to many places and there was a metro station close by. As a single female, I felt very safe. The rooms were very clean.

Cons:

The pluses could also be minuses. We were down the block from the Zócalo where protests/demonstrations started.
