I'm a vegetarian and the food was excellent. Best full breakfast I have had in a long time. The single room was comfortable, clean and quiet.
The staff were all very friendly and helpful.
The pint in the beer garden was also very lovely.
Nothing.
Das Essen und der Service waren sehr gut. Stilgerechte Einrichtung.
Hatten als Hausgäste an einem Abend Schwierigkeiten einen schönen Tisch für das Dinner zu bekommen.
Very lovely hotel, amazing helpful and friendly staff, great breakfast and an exceptionally well kept real ale (Timothy Taylors landlord was on when we visited)
Bathroom could maybe have been be more modern, but was fine, functional and spotless.
We have stayed here before and find it very suitable for staying at to break our journey either to or from Scotland. The rooms are fine, easy parking and being situated in Melrose there are plenty of places to visit in walking distance to relax and unwind. This time we ate in the restaurant and it was very good indeed.
Very comfortable
Nice old fashioned Hotel in the center of Melrose. Beautiful rooms, pub and Restaurant. Good food, good beers, friendly staff. Excellent breakfast. Car place behind the Hotel. Could not have asked for more.
lovely hotel
nothing
Staff were lovely and very helpful. Breakfast was delicious.
The service and hotel location (for walking the SCW trail) were great. It was only a short stay and we had a very early start , so were unable to stay for breakfast but the hotel were kind enough to provide alternative supplies to take with us and keep us going.
Central location, comfy bed.
Food felt overpriced.
Location
Good location high standard room and exceptional food and friendly staff
I can’t really think of anything that I didn’t like
Everything was wonderful. Nick, the owner was so kind to us accommodating our needs and we both got a beautiful comfortable room. We dined in the hotel and had a delicious bar supper and a lovely breakfast was included in our room rate. I would highly recommend this warm and welcoming family-run hotel
All good 👍🏻
Much to like, but lack of decent alternatives locally means that you do pay a premium. Tweedbank station a short taxi ride (or a very pleasant river walk) from the hotel making a day trip into Edinburgh easy
Food was first class
