Highly recommended for a stay in Oaxaca near el centro.
Pros:

The location was excellent, just outside of el centro, but close enough to easily walk. Also, quiet at night. The neighborhood was beautiful and interesting and safe. We parked our car on the street with no problems. The owner was super nice. The bed was extremely comfortable with the best pillows I’ve seen in Mexico. Good air conditioning. Room was simple and not big.

Cons:

Hot water was variable: sometimes really hot, sometimes lukewarm.

Good area of town - friendly staff, good security.
Pros:

Friendly welcome, with useful recommendations. The terrace and facilities upstairs was great and allowed for family meals. Great bakery just around the corner. The location was lovely and everything easily accessible by food. Great shopping opportunities all around.

Cons:

A lot of traffic and noise in the night from the cobblestone road for those who had rooms with windows and balconies. The aircon produces dripping due to condensation. The drain in the shower is a bit lazy. We reserved the rooms a few months ahead of the World Cup which certainly influenced the pricing which we think was high. We should have cancelled and rebooked to enjoy more competitive pricing with this property.

Beautiful hotel, hosts and neighbourhood
Pros:

We adored our stay at Hotel Casa Aqueducto. The neighbourhood is beautiful and peaceful and has lots of great cafes and restaurants nearby. The hotel itself is extremely clean, with free water, tea and coffee and beautiful balcony's to relax on. It's a really easy and beautiful stroll to the centro. Emilio, his family and all of the staff were the kindest and most attentive hosts that we have experienced in Mexico. They went out of their way to accommodate our requests including storing our bags for a week while we went hiking.

Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Im Zimmer gibt es Kaffee plus Kaffeemaschine zum selber brühen, als auch eine kleine Bar mit Wasserspender, Eiswürfeln und Kaffee zur Selbstbedienung. Es gibt einen kleinen Pool auf der Terrasse im 1. Stock und die Dachterrasse mit Gemeinschaftsküche, Geschirr und großem Esstisch lädt zum Verweilen ein. Alles sehr einladend.
Von hier aus geht man herrlich zu Fuß immer entlang des alten Aquädukts durch das lebendige Oaxaca.

We had an amazing stay at Casa Acueducto! Emilio is fantastic, incredibly kind and available. The rooms are very cosy and clean. The terrace is a great perk. The hotel is located slightly outside of the busy streets of the city centre but all the necessary amenities are close by. The walk to get downtown is just lovely.
