Beautiful building
The hotel, bar, room, decor, terrace were all really nice spaces.
The hotel is in a great location.
Unfortunately we were on the first floor immediately above the bar/restaurant in room 6 there is no sound insulation and it was a bit noisy until closing.
Also, hearing walking in the room above.
I would definitely stay again but I would request a top floor room to avoid this.
overall the hotel was in a great location the restaurant and bar area was very nice with lots of seating areas and really well decorated , My room was enormous was decorated really nicely although the bathroom needs a bit of a refresh .
the staff were friendly and the food was good. the view from the breakfast room was gorgeous and the gardens were really well kept.
the only thing i would say is my bathroom need the tiling re freshed it was not horrendous and the bathroom was fine but that is the only thing i would say.

The perfect country pub in Wales! This is exactly what I wanted...a spacious room in a country pub with a view and amazing meals on premises. A short 10 minute ride from the Bangor train station this is a great location to start or end your exploration of Anglesey. Big bonus is the staff are AMAZING - super hospitable where the guest is always the priority.

A coffee machine without having to pay extra for also water for teas etc not to be self pump type . Room size on top floor way to small , bathroom nearly impossible to use , pillows to hard . Staff great but lots of security which was very visible a little unsettling.

This is a nice clean hotel well located. It came across as a pub with rooms above it, which had been furnished into more of a hotel dynamic. The food was very good pub food. The sea view room had very nice views. The service was very good and staff helped with bag storage and booking taxis. Thank you.
The room was a bit small especially the bed. However overall the room and bathroom were of a good quality. The rain shower was powerful.

Last minute escape and absolutely thrilled with our choice. Brilliant staff, offering warm, friendly and humorous welcome.
Upgraded is to an amazing room, with views over Menai and bridge, along with balcony.
Had a late Sunday roast and not the best, overcooked and bit crusty and lacking freshly cooked veg etc.
Again, cooked breakfast wasn't fresh and little disappointing .

Lovely view across the straits. Staff were brilliant apart from one waitress who was overly officious. Position of room with balcony was great but doors onto balcony didn't fit well so were draughty and it was avery cold night. We blocked the draughts and made it warm and comfortable. I would stay here again, it felt really good.
One officious waitress which was a shame because the rest of the staff were great. Badly fitting doors to the balcony as described, but offset by great views.

The hotel is in a good location, the rooms are well furnished and some have great views over the Menai Straits. The restaurant area is spacious leading on to an excellent terrace area with views. The bar is nicely furnished but can be busy. The staff are helpful. The hotel is a very good all round performer.
The Victoria combines a local pub and dining venue with a hotel. This can mean the car park is often full ( pay parking near by) and the bar very busy. Although there were unoccupied tables in the restaurant area, the staff reserved these strictly for walk in diners so it was difficult to find a seat for a drink on a busy Saturday night. A little more flexibility on seating would be helpful at busy times
