Very comfortable. Great menu
Manager & bar man were excellent & did everything to ensure a great experience, no faults whatsoever & made us feel so welcomed back having stayed on several previous occasions.
A very small point, on the second morning a cappuccino with breakfast was requested, as the previous morning, on this occasion was asked to pay for it & was asked for payment when ordering, which I had to advise that I had come to breakfast with no means of payment, with the expectation to go back to my room to get the payment! Although I do not begrudge paying extra for the drink, the manner in which it was requested was uncomfortable.
I’m sure the member of staff was only following instructions.
I m a fan of Red Lion. My bed was a bit lumpy the
bed linen and duvet very lovely.
Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Was a lovely place to stay. Room was clean and tidy with plenty of towels and other toiletries available for use. Food from the restaurant downstairs was brilliant, tasty food and very good service.
Rooms could have done with a bit of an update on the furnishing. Bathroom could have done with a bit of TLC too as there was a small hole in the wall (looked like a bit of water damage) and a dripping shower after use.
The food was exceptional and cosy atmosphere.
Our bed was far too small and they closed the bar at 7 pm so we had no choice but to go to our room for the rest of the night, there's nothing around the village to go to either.
Also, we had to eat earlier than we like to because the chefs wouldn't cook anything after 6 pm

The shower wasn’t the best, Not powerful, no movable attachment but this didn’t spoil my stay.
Nigel and his staff are very friendly, yet professional. The rooms are cozy and comfortable, and the food is superb.

Charming hotel and pub situated in a beautiful location. I had a spacious and comfortable room. Bathroom was also spacious with a walk-in shower and plenty of hot water!
Restaurant serves very good food and breakfast is cooked to order.
All staff are welcoming and helpful.
Can’t fault it
Se odori respirare la pace e vivere il vero spirito Inglese immerso nella natura devi soggiornare qui. Il personale è gentilissimo. Il ristorante per la cena è stato una bellissima sorpresa. Ho cenato divinamente a prezzi giusti. Le camere sono calde e ti avvolgono nelle loro mura in legno e pietra. Il letto era fantastico. La colazione abbondante e gustosa. Ho preso la full British breakfast, ottima per tutta la giornata. Il cuoco è veramente bravo. Il Red Lion possiede un comodo parcheggio interno, o meglio una comoda corte in terra battuta ed erba dove puoi parcheggiare direttamente in fronte alla porta. Durante il giorno o più facilmente nel tardo pomeriggio potrai trovare qualche signore del posto sorseggiare una buona birra e magari scambiare due parole e come nel mio caso scoprire che si era laureato a Cambridge e chiedere qualche dritta su cosa vedere nelle vicinanze o anche a Cambridge che dista meno di un'oretta di macchina. L'ho amato il Red Lion.

Chef was a little bit pushy was half way through the starters and out came the main. Would have like a little longer when eating each course.
