1st class stay
Pros:

The Red Lion is an absolute gem! We had a very comfortable stay, all the staff were friendly and accommodating.
The icing on the cake has to be the absolutely fabulous breakfast! I can honestly say we had the best breakfast we have ever had in any B&B before! Freshly cooked to order using first class ingredients. Lots of choice and absolutely delicious.
We would absolutely stay here again and thoroughly recommend staying here.

Cons:

If I am to be completely honest, the bathroom could do with a little attention. Perfectly functional just a little maintenance needed.

Pros:

Meal was good, and staff worked hard considering there were only 2 on in a busy restaurant. In nice location and the room was quite quirky but no shower( Room 1)

Cons:

Main issue was lack of shower in bedroom, we were informed of this on check in, it had a stand alone bath which was beneath a sloping ceiling. The bath filled very slowly so not practical for two people to have a bath in morning especially when we had to leave early for work. I asked the next day about changing rooms but they had nothing available so we didn't stay the second night.
The place was a bit scruffy in places and could do with a coat of paint in places.
We stayed there to assess as a potential place for customers to stay but the lack of shower put us off.

Lovely village pub, warm welcome to all.
Pros:

Lovely village pub with good food and quiet location. Was great for short stop over. Dogs welcome which was great for us.

Cons:

Don't think as loved as the rooms in the main pub,, carpets near doorway need cleaning or mats adding. Maybe some form of banister for the staircase would be good, as its little awkward. Beds not comfortable for our preference but some may like the springy bounce feel.

Old inn full of character.
Pros:

This is our second stay in this attractive old inn, with all its history. It is full of character with welcoming, helpful staff. Excellent breakfast with a comprehensive menu. The evening meal has a good menu and is well prepared. We will visit again and wouldn't want them to change anything.

Cons:

Not a negative comment but please note that because of the nature of the old inn, it is not suitable for people with any kind of mobility issue. It has narrow, steep stairs, and there are steps everywhere. The floor of the bedroom we stayed in on both occasions is very uneven, as it would have been built centuries ago. The furniture stands at various angles, and there is very little space around the bed.

A wonderful experience!
Pros:

Upon arrival in the early evening, I was greeted by Alistair & shown to my room. He was very welcoming & friendly. I had a few beverages & enjoyed a couple hours of reading on the front patio while I waited for my partner to arrive, which was very relaxing. The bed was comfortable, albeit slightly smaller than your average double bed. The bathroom was modern & done tastefully, fitted with a large shower with decent water pressure. The included breakfast was delicious. 10/10. Would absolutely recommend.
