Breakfast and quaintness of the place.
Lack of cleanliness. Facilities more than tired. Bedroom better than the rest but access stairs very difficult. Headroom impossible.
Beautiful location and environment
Hotel part communal areas were tired and grubby, worn parts of carpet on stairs and dirty doors and banisters, dirty communal toilets.
Staff were friendly and very helpful. Stunningly location.

Staff were great and good was awesome. Very quiet so a good night's sleep from that perspective.
Bit too hot, but it may suit others. Gents is awaiting a refit - signage suggests it's planned. Other parts of the building are tired and need some tlc.

Hi, this lovely little building just needs some love and attention. The bedroom was cold on arrival and I had to get help to turn the heating on. The ceiling in the bathroom had a flashing light and peeling, flooded paint. It looked awful. The light fitting in the bedroom had bare wires showing where the ceiling rose should be. My husband put the ceiling rose back in. The bar shuts before 10pm and breakfast is only served until 0930. There are no Uber's in the area and taxi's are limited.
The best thing about the property was the lovely welcome and the breakfast quality. It was amazing.
The bedroom was cold, damp, had flashing lights and the bathroom light is on a sensor. Which when you are in the shower and the lights go off, isn't very helpful.
The pub in general is good, the rooms are a bit quirky but comfortable. We had room two, a small double. The staff where lovely and Alistair charming
The only thing that let it down was that the light fitting was dusty and lopsided and the shower room needed a good old scrub down around the seals on the outside of the door. There was also a layer of dust on the towel radiator.

Friendly staff when they were there before the night of the fire alarm, but Very defensive the next morning when they had no idea what the residents went thro
No staff on site. We had a fire alarm. The contact did not work. Had to search the premises. Found a person in bed. My mother disorientated. All eventually down to a low battery in the pigeon loft. Staff the next morning very defensive when I suggested site contact should be added to the fire board
Beautiful place to stay, lovely room, very comfortable bed, lovely breakfast and staff were really polite and friendly, high standard as usual, stayed here previously, and definitely will again

The staff were over and above the welcome, they were all charming, from the first minute we walked in, it was friendliness and genuinely so, you could tell the team were not putting it on, they were like it to all the guests of either the staying guests, or the diners.
The food in the restaurant in the evening was fabulous, tasty, well laid out and very good value for money. The atmosphere was charming, with a nice twist of olde worlde charm, but not too much.
There was nothing you could complain or grumble about, it was all an enjoyable, relaxed evening within a great environment.
Location is well positioned for great Gardens to visit. A handsome building in an attractive village. Welcoming, friendly staff . Even the Car Parking is well-designed and attractive.
