Pros:

Besonders hervorzuheben ist das überaus freundliche, hilfsbereite Personal, die liebevolle Gestaltung der Anlage bzw. Bungalows und das Essen. Eine wunderbare kleine Oase die hier geschaffen wurde - wir hatten uns enorm wohlgefühlt und die ruhige Zeit sehr genossen. Für uns war es der ideale Abschluss nach einer 10-tägigen Reise durch Madagaskar.

Cons:

Einzig zu bemängeln ist die Zahlungsmöglichkeit: wir könnten nicht wie angegeben mit Kreditkarte zahlen, obwohl wir bei der Buchung extra darauf geachtet hatten. Aber auch hier war das Personal extrem bemüht und schliesslich konnte eine Lösung mit der App "Revolut" gefunden werden. Die Zahlung war für uns somit unerwartet aufwändig bzw. etwas kompliziert.

Pros:

This is the best place to stay in Anakao. Unlike many travellers, we were coming not after long auto trip from Antananarivo, flying to Toliara instead. So we were not tired and open to everything. This place has amazing relaxing vibe, with everything very well-thought and designed to bring privacy, tranquility and sense of being at the immaculate nature beach part of Madagascar. The other properties at Anakao are too close to the boat arriving site and local village that is very nice to visit and might be eat/drink at local restaurants, but missing the real beach feeling. La Dune des Songes is 20 mins walk away from all that, with the porter guys carrying your luggage. Sea view and sound of waves is just great to get that tropic feeling, the beachfront villa where we were staying in was very comfortable, clean and beautiful. You can see both sunset (sea view) and sunrise (bush view) from your villa, choosing between sofa, hammock, sun lounges or your own bar deck with bar chairs.
Food is chef-grade, very exquisite and diverse, also the size of the meals are enough even if you are hungry. You have some choice like fish/meat/veg but you don’t need to think much and this adds to the overall relaxation. Amandine the owner and her staff are super-friendly and ready to do everything necessary to make your stay great.
We had terrific boat trip to see the whales and visiting the perfect white sand turquoise sea Nosy Ve onboard of local pirogue boat with motor. Chef was coming with us to prepare the lunch (salad, grilled fish and vegetables with rice), and the sailor guys were very professional, bringing us to see some 5 whales coming out of the water and later to the reef for snorkelling. The way back was under the sail.
One more thing to mention are great bar cocktails and decent wine selection.

Cons:

This is very remote part so the energy is full solar and the water is delivered from far away. So you can’t use much electricity-powerful devices like hairdryer, water is limited though you can shower with hot water when you like. So this is specialty of the place that you can easily bear with considering the beauty of the place.
The beach in front of the hotel is not exactly for swimming/bathing, you may need some sea shoes (we were good with just slippers), still in the high tide there is a nice spot couple of minutes walk to the right of the hotel to go to the sea. 3G mobile Internet I had from Airtel at my mobile was super slow and breaking, and the WiFi time in the hotel is limited, though if anything urgent you might ask to turn it on for you.

Absolut perfekt
Pros:

Der Aufenthalt in La Dune des Songes, war absolut perfekt! Die Aufteilung der Bungalows gibt einem das Gefühl ganz alleine zu sein und man hat einen großen privaten Außenbereich mit verschieden Sitzmöglichkeiten. Alles war sauber und es wurde 2x täglich der Bungalow aufbereitet. Das Personal ist extrem aufmerksam und freundlich, jeden Abend und auch zu Mittag wurde an einem anderen Ort für uns gedeckt, sodass wir ständige Abwechslung hatten. Das Essen war fantastisch und man hat ausreichend Getränkeauswahl zu europäischen Preisen. Die Ausstattung und das Ambiente entspricht absolut den Fotos!

Luxury hotel placed on top of the dunes

Pros:

We had a wonderful time at the hotel. The hotel was very clean, stylish, very cosy with friendly staff. You can watch the amazing sunset right from your doorstep. Hats off to the chefs as well. The cooking was simply amazing.
