We love the Kaab apartments. Have stayed in the building 3 times, and this may have been our favorite. Nice having a bedroom separate from the living area. Only 2 of us, but would be perfect for a family of 3 or 4. Liked the balcony overlooking the airport, seeing the planes take off. (Noise from airport not a problem as it’s only used a few times during daytime hours) A very quiet, comfortable sleep. Everything new, and clean. Full kitchen. Spacious bathrooms. Beautiful rooftop pool. Kind staff at the front. And the location can’t be beat, as it’s only a 5 minute walk to 5th Ave, yet in a quiet area. Oxxo on corner, Chan Pan a block away for a great breakfast. Self check-in was simple, and hosts had good communication. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent front desk. Beautiful heated pool with great view. Spacious studio.
No toaster, iron, spatula. Safe did not work. Could use an extra hand towel tea towel, and dishcloth. Only 1 teaspoon. Bathroom is very poorly lit. Bring a light you can use. Balcony for 311 is on the street and noisy.

Yo lo tomé con 60% de descuento por lo que creo que está bien. Pero si hubiese tenido que pagar el valor total hubiera exigido más.
Las camas rechinan demasiado, son un poco incómodas. Y a mi llegada el anfitrión no me había enviado la info, por lo que tardé unos 30 min en poder ingresar. Todo el resto Ok.

We regularly travel to Playa del Carmen for dental work, living only a 2h flight away, and decided to try this property for a change.
The building has attractive architecture and a convenient location. The rooftop pool is a nice feature if you disregard the construction that obstructs the view. At $107 per night, we expected at least a decent, functional stay.
The overall bad experience offset these small good points, unfortunately.
1. Noise amplification: The construction turns every sound into a tenfold echo chamber. Children screaming, intoxicated guests returning late, dog barking inside a room early morning/late night, furniture dragged overhead—the disturbance is constant.
2. Zero bathroom privacy: There is no door to the bathroom and the toilet is enclosed by a glass panel with a visible one-inch gap resulting in a complete lack of privacy.
3. Inadequate and stingy amenities Provided low quality shower gel was barely sufficient for a couple on a 2 nights stay.
4. The unattended lime scale buildup on the faucet and shower head is not only unattractive, it reduces an already weak water flow.
5. The lighting in the bathroom, above the sink, is minimal and very insufficient.
5. The mattress is very cheap and low quality. It results in short nights and severe back pain every morning. The bedsheets appeared questionably cleaned (yellowish stains here and there).
6. In a country where tap water is not recommended, not 1 small complimentary bottled water was provided on arrival.
7. Kitchen was equipped with the cheapest microwave, it took 4 minutes to get a cup of water warm, not even hot.
The decisive factor confirming gross incompetence occurred after checkout.
We accidentally left behind a decades-old teddy bear (it fell behind the pillows we tried to piled up due to the dreadful bedding). We departed at 11:00 AM; the room was cleaned immediately. When we inquired that evening, staff confirmed it had been found, but deliberately discarded by the cleaning team because it “looked old.” No attempt was made to retrieve it or contact us. Follow-up messages received no further reply.
Discarding a guest’s lost property without due process violates elementary hospitality standards.
This incident perfectly encapsulates the property: superficially presentable, but operated with astonishing lack of the most basic professionalism at all levels.

The room is too noisy to the next room. People coming home and speaking at 3am normal was like being next to you.
The pricing in booking was misleading
