Well worth it.
Pros:

Fantastic owner. He was so helpful in every way. He went out of his way to help us and even after we had checked out was happy to allow us to stay in the hotel until our train left. The food was excellent. Easy walk to the beach.

Cons:

The hotel is right next to the station so there is noise from passing trains.

Príjemný rodinný hotel priamo na pláži a blízko centra lokality.
Pros:

Hotel trochu starší-ale architektonicky veľmi pekný. Izba na poschodí, balkón, priamy výhľad na oceán.

Pros:

Очень понравилось это место в Бентоте! Уютно как дома, очень чисто, много света в номерах, океан совсем рядом. Хозяин очень позитивный и гостеприимный человек. Завтраки хорошие (традиционные блинчики - это очень вкусно). Обязательно вернёмся в Sisi's Place Bentota, когда приедем на Шри-Ланку!

tout ! L’accueil est super sympa, les chambres super propres et agréable. Et les petits déjeuners super bon. mention spéciale pour la gentillesse de la famille.

Visų pirma- nuostabūs šeimininkai. Vėlavo skrydis, atvykome į viešbutį apie 00:00, jie mūsų laukė. Pramiegojome pusryčius, bet šeimininkai pagamino mums vėliau. Išvykstant pats šeiminkas palydėjo ir padėjo įsigyti bilietui į vietinį traukinį. Labai jaukusir švarus kambarys su puikiu balkonu. Linkime tik kuo geriausios sėkmės!!!!

Die Zimmergröße und die Zimmerausstattung waren sehr schön.

Der Eigentümer hatte uns bereits gleich bei unserer Ankunft nach Unternehmungen gefragt. Als wir eine Bootstour ins Gespräch brachten, bot er sofort an, eine sehr vetrauenswürdige Agentur zu kennen und uns eine Bootstour zu vermitteln, was wir im guten Glauben und Vertrauen annahmen.
Tatsächlich aber handelte es sich um eine Schlepperorganisation, die als eigentliches Ziel die Anlage von "Herbal garden" hatte, wo wir absolut professionell abgezockt wurden. Dass dies Methode und System hat, zeigt nachdolgender Link:

Als wir den Vermieter hierüber informierten, nahm er dies zur Kenntnis, aber ohne Überzeugung und ohne jegliche Motivation, dass hier weitere Touristen geschützt werden sollten. Sei wohl bedauerlich, aber man könne wohl nichts ändern. Anstatt sich aktiv darum zu kümmern, die vielen Touristen davor zu schützen...
Die Bewertung kommt durch einen vollkommenen Vertrauensverlust zustande. Wenn man sich betrogen fühlt, gerät alles andere in den Hintergrund.

Als weiteren Mangel ist anzumerken, dass das Haus unmittelbar neben dem Bahngleis und Bahnhof liegt (ca. 10 Meter Entfernung zum Bahngleis), weshalb man natürlich jeden einfahrenden und durchfahrenden Zug und Zugsirene sehr laut hört.

Perfect start to our first visit to Sri Lanka. I can only hope the rest of our stays are as pleasant as Sisi's place. It's a perfect location next to the beach, restaurants and shops.
The host could not have been more helpful. Arranged trips, local transport and our onward train to unawatuna.
Great breakfast catered for all tastes.
Highly recommend for a first or last stop in Sri Lanka

Pros:

Wir hatten hier das beste Frühstück unserer 4-Wochen-Reise. Gastgeber waren super nett und hilfsbereit (Ausflüge, Bahntickets, ...). Hervorragende Restaurants in unmittelbarer Nähe.

Cons:

Nichts für Langschläfer, weil man die Bahn ab früh morgens hört. In der Nacht fährt allerdings kein Zug und es werden Oropax zur Verfügung gestellt. Für uns hatte die Haltestelle direkt vor der Türe aber mehr Vor- als Nachteile.
