Vertrauensverlust wegen Abzocke und
Pros:

Die Zimmergröße und die Zimmerausstattung waren sehr schön.

Cons:

Der Eigentümer hatte uns bereits gleich bei unserer Ankunft nach Unternehmungen gefragt. Als wir eine Bootstour ins Gespräch brachten, bot er sofort an, eine sehr vetrauenswürdige Agentur zu kennen und uns eine Bootstour zu vermitteln, was wir im guten Glauben und Vertrauen annahmen.
Tatsächlich aber handelte es sich um eine Schlepperorganisation, die als eigentliches Ziel die Anlage von "Herbal garden" hatte, wo wir absolut professionell abgezockt wurden. Dass dies Methode und System hat, zeigt nachdolgender Link:

Als wir den Vermieter hierüber informierten, nahm er dies zur Kenntnis, aber ohne Überzeugung und ohne jegliche Motivation, dass hier weitere Touristen geschützt werden sollten. Sei wohl bedauerlich, aber man könne wohl nichts ändern. Anstatt sich aktiv darum zu kümmern, die vielen Touristen davor zu schützen...
Die Bewertung kommt durch einen vollkommenen Vertrauensverlust zustande. Wenn man sich betrogen fühlt, gerät alles andere in den Hintergrund.

Als weiteren Mangel ist anzumerken, dass das Haus unmittelbar neben dem Bahngleis und Bahnhof liegt (ca. 10 Meter Entfernung zum Bahngleis), weshalb man natürlich jeden einfahrenden und durchfahrenden Zug und Zugsirene sehr laut hört.

Pros:

Perfect start to our first visit to Sri Lanka. I can only hope the rest of our stays are as pleasant as Sisi's place. It's a perfect location next to the beach, restaurants and shops.
The host could not have been more helpful. Arranged trips, local transport and our onward train to unawatuna.
Great breakfast catered for all tastes.
Highly recommend for a first or last stop in Sri Lanka

Pros:

Wir hatten hier das beste Frühstück unserer 4-Wochen-Reise. Gastgeber waren super nett und hilfsbereit (Ausflüge, Bahntickets, ...). Hervorragende Restaurants in unmittelbarer Nähe.

Cons:

Nichts für Langschläfer, weil man die Bahn ab früh morgens hört. In der Nacht fährt allerdings kein Zug und es werden Oropax zur Verfügung gestellt. Für uns hatte die Haltestelle direkt vor der Türe aber mehr Vor- als Nachteile.

Amazing
Pros:

Sisi and his family are so lovely people. They made our stay there unforgetable. He should change the name of this place for Sisi's home as that was hiw we felt there. Clean,cozy,just few steps from the beach. I will return for sure ♥️

Pros:

Super lovely stay, really close to the beach. Lovely clean big rooms with a balcony looking out to the sea. Sisi and his family were really really lovely and welcoming and had lots of good recommendations of what to do in the area.

Great little spot. Would 100% recommend. Beach is amazing for walking and getting great sunsets pictures!
Pros:

The location is so convenient. Close to the beach, restaurants and the train station. The rooms are modern, very large and spotless! The host Sisi, and his family are so helpful and kind. They will do anything they can to ensure you have a good time. Breakfast was delicious and something Sri Lankan was served each day to keep things interesting.

Cons:

Ok the one thing that probably stands out is the train that runs right in front of this property to Bentota station, but it’s really not that bad. It’s pretty infrequent and doesn’t run through the night. Sisi provides train plugs if you need. Actually trains are pretty short and are gone by within seconds.

Pros:

Vertskapet kunne ikke gjøre det godt nok for deg. De vartet opp med en utrolig frokost. Kjørte oss rundt i Tuktuk uten ekstrakostnad. Stort fint rom og bad.

Cons:

Ligger rett ved jernbanen, så var litt støy. Men egentlig litt sjarmerende.

Familiär und alles man braucht für schöne Ferien

Unser erster Stopp nach Ankunft am Flughafen. Eine sehr qualitative Einrichtung mit einem sehr guten Bett und Klimaanlage. Das Frühstück im Garten ist sehr fein und die Strandnähe genial. Wir fühlten uns sehr willkommen, der Gastgeber ist sehr bemüht und es ist sehr familiär. Er kennt Sri Lanka aus seiner früheren Tätigkeit als Reiseführer und kann sehr viele Tipps geben und er hat Ausflüge in der Region mit uns gemacht. Er ist sehr hilfsbereit und spricht gut Englisch.

Cons:

Der kleine Bahnhof gleich vor dem Haus ist genial für Reisende aber ein Zug rauscht etwa 8x pro Tag mit einem höllen Lärm an der Unterkunft vorbei.

Lovely guesthouse with amazing hosts
Pros:

It’s a really property with new units with everything you need for comfortable living. It’s run as a guesthouse and the hosts are really nice and will get our of their way to help you with anything you need. The breakfast was also really nice with food cooked fresh in the moment.

Cons:

It’s very conveniently next to the Bentota train station, which also means you might hear the trains on the track, but just pack some earplugs and it will be fine!

Pros:

Gorgeous room, high ceilings, light, airy, mosquito net and A/C.
Lovely large balcony. Beautiful owners and gorgeous breakfast.

Cons:

Nothing to dislike more a warning the hot water in the shower is absolutely scolding, even on cold so really bearable for humans and definitely not suitable for children at alll,
