Bon séjour dans un hôtel plein de charme, très bien situé avec un personnel agréable et attentionné.
Pros:

Hôtel charmant, calme et tranquille. Nous avons passé un agréable séjour. Nous ne sommes malheureusement resté qu'une seule nuit. Nous avons pu profiter de la partie spa (sauna, jacuzzi,... ) qui était inclus dans le prix ainsi que le copieux et délicieux petit déjeuner. C'est tellement rare de nos jours que tout soit inclus et de ne pas devoir payer des extras. Le personnel était adorable et très serviable.

Cons:

L'insonorisation des chambres est malheureusement mauvaise car nous entendions les voisins de chambre. Ce qui n'est pas idéal quand on est incommodé par les bruits ambiants et quand on a besoin de silence pour passer une bonne nuit récupératrice.

L'emplacement est top, le bâtiment et les équipements ainsi que le parking.

Cons:

5* affiché mais 4* dans la réalité. Pas de machine à café en chambre et recharge du plateau thé/café payant... Peu de diversité au buffet petit déjeuner. J'avais demandé un lit double et j'ai eu 2 lits simples. Dommage

Very beautiful views and great facilities
Pros:

the staff are very professional and the hotel is in a beautiful quiet place out of town, closer to the mountains and the beautiful gardens. The facilities are really nice from the spa to the patio with stunning views. There are lots of comfy seats to sit in the sun. The hotel offers free shuttle to the city on weekdays which is very helpful.

Cons:

The hotel tried to charge us for half board after we ate at the restaurant for one night, even though we paid our full bill at the end of the meal.
Despite the 5 star rating, the staff was sometimes not super helpful or friendly. I would say they are more trying to appear fancy and professional but it didn't feel like we were having a normal conversation with another human.
Also it's sad the shuttle does not operate on the weekend, which was half of our trip!

Wunderbare Lage, schöne Ausblicke vom Zimmer, aber generell kein 5-Sterne Haus!

Die sensationelle Lage mit wunderbaren Blick über Funchal! Einige tolle Terrassen, wo man wunderbar relaxen kann!

Cons:

Die Zimmerausstattung gehört überholt - Wasser läuft nicht ab im Bad, Tür zu Minibar geht nicht mehr zu, etc.!

Das Frühstück ist leider absolut auf keinem 5 Sterne Niveau! Das Gemüse ist teilweise noch in einem leicht gefrorenen Zustand, die Säfte sind süße Billig-Nektare, der Kaffee ist Automaten-Qualität, ebenso der Kakao ist süßes Automaten Getränk!

Pros:

Krásné prostředí, okouzlující výhledy na Funchal a okolí. Snídaně byly skvělé, bohatý výběr, výborná servírovaná vaječná omeleta. Prostorné parkoviště, zkrátka vše super.

Cons:

Nebyl v provozu venkovní bazén.

Excellent stay in luxurious surroundings.
Pros:

Beautiful converted Quinta, beautiful table setting for every meal, very attentive waitress/waiter. Breakfast is exceptional. Supper is less so but good. Superb views, lovely bedroom and bathroom. A couple off comments (hardly detract from the lovely experience): 1 please switch the loop tape music playing in the dining room to something more cheerful, less repetitive, perhaps classical? 2: the bath plug was defective in our bathroom and did not get repaired despite at least 3 requests/reminders.

In spite of these small drawbacks I would certainly like to stay here again.

Pros:

Bardzo duże i wygodne łóżko.

Cons:

Brak odżywki do włosów w łazience, był tylko żel do kąpieli i balsam do ciała. Nie uzupełniono nam zapasów herbaty i kawy. W hotelu spędziliśmy tydzień. Śniadania były serwowane do godziny 10.00, niestety zazwyczaj nie dokładano tego co już się skończyło.
