The people and the atmosphere
Nothing
Wonderful welcome and helpful owners.
Really nice place, a good atmosphere and great food. Nice room.
As soon as you walked in you felt welcome, room was very peaceful and cosy, and the food was incredible.
Very friendly owner and really clean and comfortable bed
Great food, friendly staff. Room was bigger than expected (low ceilings which would be an issue for taller people but fortunately not me).
Good breakfast. Staff and room brilliant. Bus was my only transport and could have been better facility later in evening especially Sunday.
Only bus service. Accomodation was top.
The pub had a real sense of community. It has been there a long time and the building is old with a lot of character. The owners have decorated the pub and the rooms keeping a sense of the history. It was also bright and welcoming. The bedding was good quality. It was very comfy very clean and there was everything there we needed.
Can't think of anything to like about the place
1. no WiFi. 2. the hight of the ceiling in the bedroom was only 6ft I'm 6ft 2, and bumped my head getting in and out of the bathroom. Also unable to stand up in the bath due to low ceiling. 4. No shower screen so shower floods the floor. 5. Plunger for the plug was stiff and took a lot of effort to open plug toilet was running all night.. says in the room has blackouts. Not true just a roller blind that doesn't cover the whole window. 6.bed was old and hard with only one pillow. 7Breakfast is not included in the price (That's a £12extra if pre booked) 8. No offence road parking...
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The breakfast was extra cost on top of the accommodation but well worth the money. A good choice of cereal, fruit, yoghurt, croissants etc plus a good choice of freshly cooked breakfast .
The stairs were very steep up to the top floor but it is an old building so it’s just part of the heritage.
It was quite difficult to turn the door key to our room as it was so close to the door frame.
The pub seemed nice
The very low ceiling in the room. The heat in the room, the fan being very loud.
The staff and the locals are some of the friendliest people you could meet.
The food was amazing and so were the ales.
The rooms were lovely and clean.
Jazz who works there was a diamond she really looked after us.
I will definitely going be back there
