Really nice location and the accommodation is good considering the price. We absolutely adore animals and Mango stayed some night with us. Such an adorable cat.
Most of the visitors were happy that were are pets but then we saw them kicking the dogs and the cats. That's unacceptable.
As for the accommodation, you get what you pay for; it is decent. Regarding the food, my girlfriend is vegetarian and the meals were good, with larger vegetable portions for her (perhaps there is a possibility to add some proteins? Eggs, kidney beans, chickpeas...?).
Lastly, the beach is absolutely beautiful, and they have cats and dogs around, which is very pleasant!
Shout out to the team, Joe & Tino (captain boat!)
It is a shame that a minimum of three people is required for activities. When you travel as a couple for just a few days, you want to make the most of what the surroundings have to offer. Having to wait for other travelers to sign up for the same excursion is a real constraint. On our first day, we couldn’t do any activities because we were the only ones interested. The next day, we managed to visit the caves, but that left us with only one day to do the Blue Lagoon, which was impossible because once again, we were the only ones... Also, it clearly wasn’t just a matter of fuel cost, as on the very day we arrived, prices increased for that tax (+ $10 per person on activities). Perhaps ask the other home stays to do one boat?
Location
Screens in rooms were busted, so our room was very buggy and fan didnt work.
Food was similar for every dinner, would have enjoyed some variety
The location is good and the people were very friendly especially Joe who was always so helpful and polite
Don’t expect a posh resort - safe landing is not that but it is a great location and they have good plans. However maintenance is needed and the owners know that and want to improve it. We met some great people whilst staying here- likeminded travellers who all swapped stories over meals

Our experience at Safe Landing Eco Lodge was completely unacceptable.
When we arrived, there was no running water and no bottled water provided. We were told to wash ourselves using a bucket of water, which is not what we paid for or expected from accommodation advertised to guests.
The room and bathroom were dirty and poorly maintained. There were stains, mould, rust, and obvious hygiene issues throughout the property. The photos speak for themselves.
To make matters worse, there was loud music, shouting, and drinking throughout the entire night by workers/family on the property. The noise continued into breakfast time, making it impossible to sleep or relax.
The overall cleanliness was shocking, and we even saw a rat come out of the kitchen area, which was the final straw.
And before anyone excuses this as an “authentic homestay experience” — it was not a homestay. This was advertised and sold as lodge accommodation. Basic hygiene, running water, cleanliness, and respect for guests are not unreasonable expectations.
This place felt neglected, unhygienic, and extremely unprofessional. I would strongly recommend avoiding this lodge unless major improvements are made to cleanliness, maintenance, guest facilities, and basic respect for paying customers.
The position was unbelievable, i think the cleanest water of the fiji and the most beautiful as well. The local people were super nice and they welcomed every single requests we made. Their kids were there for holidays, it was amazing spending time with them and learning their culture. I will suggest to everyone to spend at least three days. We decided to do the excursion to nanuya island in order to stay in the famous blue lagoon beach, it was just 40 dollars per person, but unfortunately it lasted just few hours. We did also the hike to go to the blue lagoon resort. We paid 79 dollars in order to eat and use the facilities, it is the only way to swim in this beautiful water, it was super convenient and the food was good.
Unfortunately there were bed bugs in the bed, and they tried to move us to nanuya island for one night in the middle of the night but since we didn’t agree they moved us in a home stay, not perfectly clean.
The bathroom wasn’t very clean.
The food was okay.
