we would go again but only because of its proximity to the sailing club at LLyn Brenig

Landlady was very pleasent, Very large car park

Cons:

"Private" bathroom Was not very private as we had to walk along the corridor past another room, stand on top othe staircase which led to outside door then open a fire door to get to the "private" bathroom
Beer garden was weed ridden

Female solo traveller felt safe and comfortable
Pros:

The location was easy to get to, the booking was straightforward and great value for money. I didn’t pay much in comparison with other options in the area, and yet it was exactly what I needed and very clean. Also, very importantly, I stayed here on my own as a 23 year old woman, arriving at night. Not once did I feel unsafe.

Pros:

I arrived in the dark on a cold, wet and windy night, as I walked in the Giler Arms the welcomed warmth from the open fire was the first thing that hit me! The lady behind the bar was lovely and showed me to my room. The single room was perfect, very well presented with a comfy bed. All the usual amenities with a added bottle of water and a satchet of hot chocolate. The shower was brilliant and got hot very quickly. The Giler also has plenty of car parking. Beautiful location brilliant accommodation.

Decent place to stay but don’t rely on food service!
Pros:

Very good location for walks with ample parking. Friendly staff.

Cons:

The staff were friendly and efficient, but there aren’t enough of them! We booked this stay partly because they had a breakfast service. But lack of a chef meant they cancelled breakfast with no warning. We only wanted basic food before a day of walking. No need for a chef. There was nowhere nearby to pick up breakfast.

Cons:

could not get in hotel on arriving . shower room very small,could not wash hands without flooding floor.
breakfast not until 9.00am.,which arrived with no choice and no cereals.

Wow what a Gem! 🔥♥️
Pros:

Great stay and the staff were super friendly 🙏 faith who helped us is new but made us feel at home 🔥 great location for the go karting down the road. Plus the food from the restaurant downstairs was yummy! highly recommend

I couldn't figure out how to turn the bathroom mirror off but found the button at the bottom so all good

Had a lovely stay after the ride out from Mold, the place was great and very welcoming,

Great nights stay after a lovely ride out with The Wirral Triumph owners mcc, clean and very welcoming, the lady behind the bar was great, she mad the guys very welcome. we will be back soon.

Will find somewhere else next time I visit North Wales
Cons:

I used Y Giler Arms for years before covid, have to say it has declined in all areas, food particularly. Always, had breakfast, but couldn’t as it doesn’t start until 9 am and I need to leave each day at 8am.
