It was lovely property
The fan supplied for the heat was small and very noisy

Staff and the room
There was no corridor light outside the door of room 106, and no natural light, so even in bright daylight outside, you cannot see clearly the door lock in which to insert the 106 room door key, Quite frustrating when carrying heavy bags, and are struggling to open the door, because you can not see the door lock clearly, please try it for yourself, and you will see the issue.
Also the En-Suite shower curtain rail collapsed when just pulling the curtain across, reported to reception, SO VERY POOR maintenance.
Location is great and room always clean and lovely

Excellent food
Hotel a bit outdated, but comfortable
The location was excellent, all the staff were very friendly. The beds were comfortable, and we loved the white fluffy towels . We really enjoyed our meal in the restaurant and of course the breakfast was excellent too .
Location was where we wanted to be. Beautiful old building; quirky and charming with bags of character. Our room was wonderful. Lots of superb details and nice touches, all of which added to our enjoyment.
Everywhere felt spacious and welcoming.
Fabulous staff, and the food was excellent. We were celebrating a birthday, so we were truly grateful when the hotel management surprised us with cake and a bottle of fizz; that is true service, and definitely going above and beyond.
Some areas are quite tired which is not all that unusual with a hotel of this size and nature, but they were currently undergoing a number of renovations during our stay.

The dining room, riverside location and view from our window. Very comfortable bed with good quality bedding. Car parking is very convenient.
There wasn’t anything to dislike
Breakfast was very good. Bar area was very nice.
Room was very dusty. Loud music playing until late either from the bar area below or another property.
Location good price
There was no lift and the view was of the back car park. But the worst thing was the noise at night which prevented us from sleeping. We were in room 108 and there was an access below to the car park BUT above this access (and just below our room) there were fans of some kind (AC?) which ran all night
