Rare, Authentic Caribbean Historic hotel
Pros:

Great location around a beautiful bay, Authentic building, well maintained, tastefully renovated. Nice staff, nice pool area,

Cons:

The Gunpowder suites in the main house (PM1 to PM4 I think) are beautiful, great sea view, nicely decorated, 5-star quality. The suites in the “cottages” (we were in PM15) more recently built, have more of a 3-star feel to them. Everything works, and is clean … but is just lower quality.

Stayed twice, won’t be a 3rd time sorry.
Pros:

Restaurant has great food, room is very comfy

Cons:

Checkout is always a nightmare, this time they had work going on the entrance, we couldn’t leave the premises for 40 mins

My international flight was 80 minutes away when I arrived at the airport

The restaurant manager is also extremely rude, the elder Caucasian lady, I asked a question, didn’t understand properly and she repeated herself extremely rude.

Pros:

Staff extremely friendly

Cons:

When requesting help from staff no one is available, checkout was an ordeal hated the process. My card was charged extra for services I already paid, I didn't argue I just wanted to check out, it every unorganised.

Fantastic first impression of Antigua
Pros:

beautifully located . loved boating to breakfast and the beach. Staff were super and friendly. pool was great. We loved our cottage 8. .

Cons:

only thing we didn’t like was that the pool and bar closed at 18.00hrs. it would have been nice to sit with a cocktail at sunset and enjoy the surroundings

Great historical place to stay
Pros:

Very beautiful scenario, quiet, lots of birds around. Comfortable rooms, in general staff are friendly (with the exception of one or two). A bit costly, but I guess it is a reflex of the overall cost in the country.

Cons:

The food at the restaurant was horrible. If you are a foodie, you will be dissapointed. Not worth for what you pay. Breakfast as well, they will charge you extra for according to the type of breakfast you ask. The only thing, they dont inform you about it. If you are like me that does not like for surprises when you pay your bill, better ask if you will be charged extra for the option you get.
