I didn't immediately figure out the location because it was unclear how to find grocery stores and get to public transportation to go somewhere to see the city. It turned out that: a) the metro is close (although I still didn't figure out how to get there and where to buy a travel card nearby, but the receptionist helped me buy one); b) there are lots of shops and grocery stores nearby c) if you walk a little longer than usual in Turkey, there are many cafes and restaurants nearby d) there is a very, very large, convenient and safe beautiful park very close by. You can reach the sea shore in about 40 minutes. The hotel is located in an area with a large number of medical centers, and there are pharmacies at every turn. NB - lots of stray cats and dogs around, please don't forget to bring them some food, water and treats, they are humble and not dangerous.
I accidentally ruined my new expensive clothes by hanging them in the bathroom to dry. As I understand it, the cleaning staff washes everything with acid (but why?) and doesn't rinse it off. It's also useful to keep in mind that when it starts raining here, water pours in through the closed windows from the street. I don't know how that happens.

Breakfast was nice with friendly and helpful staff that let us keep our bags their while we waited for flights after check-out. It was a decent location, could walk all around Alsancak/Konak to the seaside with plenty restaurants or café near and could get to any transportation easily. Decent space in the room with kettle and small cooking area, a good bed and table.
Shower was slightly broken but wasn't much of an issue still worked fine.
The staff were really friendly and helpful and I have to admit the convenient location .
The room was unclean , the smell of cigarette smoke was everywhere.

The photos of the room were taken many years ago. Now the bathroom is kinda falling apart, it's dirty and generally unpleasant. The hotel needs serious work.

Nice place to stay in Izmir, close to the center
There was a small kitchen - which is perfect - but not even a single pan... Instead there is a service that you can order some food to your room, which actually works great

Actually, this is the worst stay I have ever had.
The breakfast was very, very bad. A few items are repeated every day. There is not even enough bread!
I asked for scrambled eggs, and they said it costs you!
On the 3rd day, I asked for water and tea bags for the room, I thought that they forgot to charge, but they said we give these items only on the first day!
The only good point about this hotel is location, because it is near Hilal metro station.
My husband and I traveled to Izmir for holiday. We enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was decent, hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Good value for money. The hotel is close to public transport and many restaurants/grocery stores.
