I loved everything about this lovely place.The location was perfect-a short walk to Plaza de Armas.The room was large and clean and sleep quality was excellent Breakfast each morning was perfect-a lot of food which really prepared me for the day.The staff were super friendly and helpful I want to thank Sergio and Luis-two very nice people who made my stay SO very enjoyable.Top marks...10 out of 10.

Sergio is a great host. Helped us to store luggage’s while on whales watching. He gave us also Great suggestions for restaurants in Punta Arenas. Nice chat with him, definitely I would go back in Chile!

Super friendly and helpful staff. They made us feel like we were at home. We booked for 3 nights and prolonged with 1 more. Do not expect super luxury rooms , they are basic but convenient, good breakfast - value/price ++ we would go back.

Sergio was great who owns the house, he goes above and beyond to accommodate you. The bed was comfortable and breakfast amazing.

The owner Sergio was very friendly and accommodating. We arrived late our first night and he made us hot tea :) we used the hotel as a starting and stopping point for our trip in Patagonia. The room was clean and simple and got the job done. The shower was great.

The standout highlight of my stay at Pension al Sur del Mundo was the incredible host, Sergio. He went above and beyond to ensure my stay was both comfortable and unforgettable. Choosing to stay here was one of the best decisions I made, as it truly elevated my entire trip. For an authentic and immersive Punta Arenas experience, I highly recommend this property—especially for solo travelers.

Sergio was a great host, always super helpful. he drove me to a money exchange place, packed me a bagged lunch for a day-long trip, let me take a breakfast to go when I was running short on time when heading out, and dropped me off at the bus station. lovely place, and nice dogs too.

I picked this location for it's closeness to the ocean, close to a nice park for birding & also it was only about an 5-8 min walk to center of town. Although breakfast not included Sergio would make it for you for a small charge. He set up a refrigerator for me to store my own food. Although both of us did not speak very much of each others language we used Google translate & gestures & even managed to laugh a lot when we made mistakes. Sergio also does tours. I asked him to take me to a couple of spots not on regular tours & he was happy to do so & didn't charge that much. His home is not fancy but I was comfortable & he is an excellent host. Bed was comfortable, Wifi was great & plenty of heat on the cool to cold nights. Just an FYI bring your own bar soap & there is only a shower no bathtub.
