OK for one night but could be better.
Pros:

Modern and well equipped

Cons:

No double glazing so a lot of road noise. Cheap mattress was very soft and uncomfortable.

Having said all the above we are small people who are good sleepers and enjoyed our stay and would return.
Pros:

Clean, good location, efficient clear prompt communication. Decor comfort good shower room facilities.

Cons:

Entrance at the rear not welcoming. Lack of double glazing in room 3 resulted in road noise and condensation. Very small shower room, no toilet brush. Not great design to have the kettle and drinks making facilities under the clothing hanging space.

Cons:

Be aware that very little sleep is to be expected when staying here. The noise level from the music in the pub is insane (1:30am) and the fluorescent lighting from the street comes through the shutters. The welcome email highlights that pub noise is to be expected but this is after payment and no refund. Contact number provided is not connected and response to email was 8 hours later. In short, there’s no one to contact if there’s any issues. FYI…we’ve stayed in many pubs previously and have had no issue with noise.

Nice rooms.. way too loud to get a decent nights sleep!

It was spotlessly clean, the shower and bath were great! :)

Cons:

The bay windows overlook a very busy main road, the windows are wooden and the blinds barely block out the light even when closed. We were woken up at 5am by a hgv thundering down the road and from then on the traffic kept us awake until it was time to get up, so loud it’s like being on the pavement!

The noise. Although we were warned about the venue below, this didnt affect us as mid-week stay. however the noise from the streets overnight (no double glazing) was very disturbing. There seems to be a problem in buxton with late night meet-ups of young adults with their noisy cars.

Cosy room in middle of Buxton
Pros:

Really cosy room well furnished, good snacks/tea provided, easy to check in. Great location in middle of Buxton. Had a really nice stay.

Cons:

There was lots of noise from pub below (it was the last weekend before Christmas!). We were warned about this beforehand by the property manager and ear plugs were provided so I think the property did all they could but worth bearing in mind before booking.
