First class accommodation close to all amenities in Buxton which is a hidden gem of Victorian charm.
Pros:

Room and bathroom were fitted to a high standard with excellent decor and amenities. Small room but perfectly formed and everything you needed.

Cons:

Back entrance shared with the pub yard was disappointing but once inside the quality of the accommodation compensated.

Our initial apprehension on entering the accommodation was unfounded, exceeded expectations!
Pros:

The waitress / girl behind the bar was very helpful and attentive and the food was good. Booked this place 20 minutes before we arrived and it turned out to be an excellent find.

Cons:

I’d have preferred to have been able to access my room via the pub / restaurant rather than the rear alleyway and steps.

If facing the high street, bring earplugs.
Pros:

The room we were in was very clean and the bathroom was excellent. The location is extremely convenient for restaurants and shops in central Buxton. A lot of thought has been put into the design of the rooms and the comfort of the guests.

Cons:

Some rooms in the property face directly onto Buxton's high street, and the windows provide fairly low levels of sound isolation so please be wary of the following:
- There is fairly heavy traffic outside (this in my view is acceptable and just an inevitability of the central location in Buxton).
- There is a kebab/pizza place opposite The Vault which was open until around 2am on the Wednesday (...) evening that we stayed; this served as a magnet of sorts for loud, drunken buffoons. Again, this might be viewed as an inevitability of being centrally located in Buxton.
I would recommend that the owners of the property include complementary earplugs for guests.

Pros:

The room was modern, clean and comfortable!

Cons:

The Bathroom was compact but Ok for us although my husband is 6'6".
Would have liked more milk. Only enough for one drink each!

Good location and comfy room.
Pros:

The property was very well located. It was clean and comfy.

Cons:

As a solo female traveller I wasn’t entirely comfortable with having to navigate round the back down an alleyway. It was fine as it was light enough in the evenings but probably wouldn’t want to do it in the dark.

Pros:

The room was lovely and clean. It had everything we needed. It was in an ideal location. It was comfy.

Cons:

The parking could be tricky if you went at a peak time. We were pre-warned about the noise from the DJ, but it was very loud until 2am due to it being bank holiday weekend.
